Hey Mc,

I prefer the pictures, just because it means I dont have to leave dakka, but I went and watched your video anyway.

First off;
in regards to a camera stand, literally some tape and a rod or something would work, and you could actually just take pictures instead and create a GIF or timelapse, but using still images instead of a video. either that or buy a cheap webcam as they are pretty inexpensive and you can tape that to a rod without concern of ruining your phone etc...

There is plenty of free software for both GIFs and timelapse. Just google free... whichever... and find a tech site that compares, as usually they will then provide a decent link to a DL too.

The model:

I prefer what you did with the hat, I think combined with the sword and the loss of the spines on the back the tall top hat was a little over the top. Your version does suit really well. I also really like the no legs, I personally have done this on a few ethereal models ive done and i do much prefer the idea that they are materialising out of the ether themselves rather than it simply swirling around them.

On your base, if it was me I would want to add more spirits or swirls or so forth, maybe not going all the way up to his body, but I feel that when looking from a low angle or in general that his central part where his legs used to be is going to look a little bare.

Favourite Game: When your Warboss on bike wrecks 3 vehicles simply by HoW - especially when his bike is a custom monowheel.

Thanks for the feedback. In the first vid in the Convert THIS! series I started up, with Nagash, I posted that I'm going to have zombies, skeletons, maybe a pair of the top part of black knights, all emerging on the open parts of the outside of the base, outside the stones when I cut back the plates to fit the arcane platform to fit the legal sized base. I'm hoping this will add more detail and flare at the bottom.

Next pic/vid will be the final before priming/painting. Glad to hear more ideas and suggeestions before that though!

Ooooh like a skeletal force ermerging from the stone below him? If so I likes it! that would be really cool.
