Soo I got the idea to make a model that essentially could go overtop of the basic quad gun so I could use one for both my marines and my Nurgle.

This is my first attempt at sculpting.

Should I add front legs?

Pretty cool, keep it up.

I vote against front legs, it would be much cooler if you painted it up as a boil protruding from the ground.

Aftermath can be calculated.

Cant do the boil thing as I gave him a tail, more slug like. But did some more details. Spine is showing on the back.

Pretty happy with it so far. Added some pustules and gashes.

Looks cool. With some more fine detail that'll be awesome. No legs but more tentacles pls!

I like the idea of legs myself - it'll look a bit like Slimer from Ghost Busters:

My problems in sculpting are the teeth & hands - anyone got any tips for us both??

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Ok so the material I worked with is all natural and air dries. Problem with this stuff is you cant really add much after it dries, nothing will stick to it, maybe green stuff, will try later.

That being said, I am happy with the results, more detail would be nice. I didn't go with legs or tenticles based solely on the purpose of the model. It is just a shell for the quad gun. As the model has no movement and wont be attacking anyone back, i wanted it to look slow, and useless in melee. Anyways, as a first attempt at modeling I am happy with how it looks. I will deffintly invest in some tools (did this with a plastic butter knife, a pen and a carpet knife) and will go for more detail on the next one.

Neat idea! I actually think front leg nubs would fit it well. Basically as a stabilizer for the guns. I mean, this is basically a Nurgle howitzer, right? Either way, the model is looking great so far!

You can never go wrong with Gashes, Guts, and Boils! And boils are pretty easy to sculpt with sore, cracking skin around it.
