So, would be nice with some feedback on my orks. This is an example from my first batch ever, which I just finished. (I'm not counting a dwarf I painted 20+ years ago).

The paint looks pretty good. The red on the banner looks like it could use a little more shading, and possibly the one big tooth on the banner top as well, though that may just be the lighting. The mold line on the gun arm really takes away from the paint job to me, but I realize some people just aren't so bothered by them.

The mold lines kinda bother me as well. Let's call it a beginners mistake Did in fact not notice them until after I primed the models and then laziness took hold. But since it's my first attempt I see it as creating an opportunity to improve.

That's definitely the right attitude, and as a first model you're on the right track to good things to come for sure.

You might step back a bith with all your agrax earthshade. It´s a wee bit too much imo. Otherwise it looks pretty great!

Thanks for comments.

Regarding the washing, what I wanted to achieve was a bit of a more – for lack of a better word – natural look. I've always found the classic 'eavy metal look a bit too cartoony for my taste, especially orks tend to look like candy, sort of. So I found this youtube vid:

I've tweaked it a bit. But yesterday I picked up the latest Warhammer: Visions, and OMG: Blanchitsu. Now I know how I want to learn how to paint.

(But I'm OT:ing now...)

There is not this idea.

I do like that he has a more dirty, weatherbeaten look than is sometimes seen. About the only thing I would change is the exposed wiring coming off the arm, maybe do it in a different color to make it pop out a bit. But that's a personal preference thing, and it doesn't tale away from the overall good quality you've got here!

If this is your first batch, you should be extremely proud. My first models looked like garbage compared to this guy. The mouth looks good and makes a nice focal.

I'll echo the obvious stuff on mold lines and drilling gun barrels, but honestly, I think he looks very good and you seem to be off to a great start.
