My meta is super competitive, no room for any mistakes or anything.
But I love Harkevich, but im told he isn't good for competitive play at all. That he is a sub par caster.
Is there a way to make him work.

Yes, a player in my Meta went to a tournament hosted by the Muse on Minis guys playing Harkavich and did very well, I think he ended up placing 3rd or 4th

He played Harkavich, 5x Demolishers, and some support. He'd activate Harkavich first cast Broadsides and those massive guns would drop 5x high POW AOE4's, activate the Demolishers and they close up at the start of their activation and become ARM25 again. Right before you engage, pop his feat, cast broadsides and then slam for free(don't shoot on the Demolishers activation, that opens them up, but you can slam/trample and remain closed), which allows you to put 5x ARM27(or 28 I don't remember if his feat gives +2 arm or +3) into the zone, the enemy is slammed out, and you score at least 1 control point. Remember his battlegroup has Pathfinder so you'll have no problems getting the slams off.

This list destroys most Cryx, and as a Menoth player the one time I've beaten it out of 3 games was when I was able to assassinate Harkevich with the Testament of Menoth, and how often will you be playing against a Testament player?

Harkevich is indeed one of the least good Khador warcasters. Does that mean you can't take him and win games? No. Warmahine is great like that, in that pretty much any caster can win games, but they may require more player skill, be limited to a smaller array of effective lists, or have a larger number of bad matchups (very important when you start thinking about tournament pairings for your lists).

Could I ask what it is you like about Harkevich in particular? Maybe some people who know Khador could help you out by suggesting another caster that has similar qualities but can be more effective in a larger number of situations.

Like watching other people play video games (badly) while blathering about nothing in particular? Check out my Youtube channel: joemamaUSA!

Mostly broadsides, the ability to give all his jacks pathfinder and +2 to movement.

Yea Harkevich's problem is that he is all about supporting Khador ranged jacks which honestly are rather meh. RAT 4 is a huge issue and outside activation you can't boost it so you won't hitting a lot of models with those attacks.

The Demolishers are a cute trick with him but that would require buying 5 demolishers. I mean I suggest proxing that before buying any since I don't see another situation where you would use 5 demolishers. Yea I wonder if people figured out all you have to do against this list is run and engage the jacks with reach models and stay more than .5 inches away so he can't shoot. At that point he either can't use broadsides or has to activate the jack first which that means they will be lower arm on the opponents turn, and I have found the clam jacks once open die like punks for a heavy.
