I've only been painting for about 5-6 months now, and have just tried my had at terminators!
I've done the space hulk terminators, but tried to incorporate them into my dark angels army.

Please give me tips and criticism because I want to improve!!

Its hard to judge on 1 picture.

The reds look great

The bone is a bit flat so could use more highlighting and a bit of targeted washing

Lenses look great.

A bit clean by my pref. perhaps a little bit o chipping.

Bolt gun could use a drilled barreling.

I agree with most of what Desubot said: the armor looks a little flat and the bolter would look better with the barrels drilled out.

Other than that, they look pretty great... especially considering that you've only been painting for 6 months!

Use aggrax earthshade with a detail brush and paint it into the recesses in the armor. For the parchments, use abaddon black and with a detail brush paint small horizontal lines down the paper to give the effect there's writing on them. If you want to go even further and highlight the armor, use ushabti bone or screaming skull with a detail brush along the raised edges of the armor.

Good job so far, for only a few months of experience it looks like you've got solid start.

Yeah, the bone armour does look quite flat now that you mention it..

I'll try the earthshade on it and then post pictures again in a day or two!

I've got some pigments coming in the mail that I am wanting to use for weathering (all of the forgeworld ones), does anyone have advice for which to use that would look good on the terminators?

Looks good By the way, Nyoom, instead of just washing the entire bone color, try using a relatively fine brush, and just washing the crevices. Colors like bone don't really look good if you splash Agrax on them, because you get "dirty" puddles.

Ideally, you'd like to provide shadows while maintaining crispness.

Dont use black for writing on parchments on the seals. Use dark reaper. Looks a lot more effective

I googled dark reaper but all I got was Star Wars results. Is it a paint colour, or a type of micropen, or what?

Dark reaper is a gw paint colour. Its great for that sort of thing. Tattoos aswell, i find black just doesnt look right
