I have been taking a bit of an hiatus from 40k for about a year, but when I saw the new starter I am thinking about getting back into it. But I'm wondering, did the blood angels get a new codex?

Yes they got a new Codex. Yes with formations of the most powerful one of the Year. Possibly ever.

Some Must Be Told. Others Must Be Shown.

Just curious, what are you calling the new starter set? The starter set is with Dark Angles and Chaos Space Marines. The one with the Tyranids and Blood Angles is not a Starter set and is only available for a short time only if not sold out already in some areas.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Really, does the dark angels one have the 7th ed rulebook, and it's called deathstorm I think.

Not sure what you're referring to as starter sets. The boxes that include the rule book are:

Dark Vengeance (Dark Angels vs CSM)
Stormclaw (Space Wolves vs Orks)
Deathstorm (Blood Angels vs Tyrannies)

DV has snapfit models and is a true starter kit, while the other boxes have fully configurable Multipart plastic models. DV also comes with dice and templates.
