Been working on this the last few days, and finally got the courage to post it on dakka for C&C. This was my first Knight. Besides a few slips of yellow over into the silver, what do you guys think?

I'm really not a fan of yellow knights...but this looks really well done!

Personally, I'd break up the legs by painting the knee pads in the 1/2 & 1/2 black and white though. I just feel this would give him some depth...

but that's splitting hairs! I'd love to have him in my collection!

I went with the Hawkshrouds because of their background and their pseudo "oath" to the Imperial Fists, which is my main army. Plus while I HATE painting yellow, it does make me proud when it works out.

I like it! I agree though, a splash of alternating color on the legs/knees would be awesome. That and a nice dark base would finish it nicely. Good job on the yellow though, a color that I've yet to even attempt

Looks good, but I agree that it needs another contrasting color. Some alternating black or white on the legs would work well. Something like what you did on the shoulder pads.

I would add a small amount of brown wash shading myself - the yellow armor looks too "clean". Of course, if it was mine I wouldn't because I'd be afraid of screwing it up. It is so easy for washes to get out of control.

Looks pretty good! Yellow can be hard to pull off.

1) I am at a loss on how to "finish" the base really, so I used a lot of Agrellian earth to crackle it, paint over it, and make it barren drylands for now until I think of something better
2) Yeah, I should have tried to center it lower than the half moon missing section, instead of centering to fit AT the half moon missing portion.

Looks great! Love the bright colors and the contrasting shoulders. I think that the bade looks good a little mucked up (not everything can be perfect in war)

There just needs to be something more on the base to make it pop, IMO. There's so much space to work with that it really stands out when there's nothing there. Even just a few tufts of grass or some rocks would give it a little life.

The decal wasn't a critique on the positioning, but more of that it looks like the lower half of the decal got snipped off or folded somehow.

I think you've done a masterful job on this. The colours are very clean, as befitting a Titan working with the Astartes,

Only thing I can recommend is to spruce up the base with either some scenery or models (post battle casualties or destroyed vehicle parts strewn about)

Love the use of yellow - the colour works well when it's done right which is very much the case in this instance
