Looks good, could be more optimal (i.e. LotD metla teams, LS with MM or HF, More locator beacons on first wave DPs) but it depends on what models you have.
Personally, I would drop the last 5 man TAC squad and replace with another assault drop pod, as it will do pretty much the same thing but for 25 points less. I would also drop the 5th MG from the 1st command squad and use the points to either put an apothecary or some SS in both command squads. Also the ironclad could be downgraded to a barebones dread as you will still have buffs on his MM and HF but a big points saving (on what is essentially a suicide unit anyway), and with the extras you could squeeze in a LS.
Good luck carrying all those DPs - the only downside of playing sallies imo

Thanks for the feedback.
I don't own speeders or LotD, I am going to get some LotD but I never liked using speeders in any of my armies.
Good point on the dread, I might swap out the arm for a MM arm and try it out that way. The small tac instead of a 2nd small Assault Squad was just for the ObjSec on the Tac but I see your point.
I have a Battlefoam PACK Air case with enough space for 8 DPs so I only need to find a spot for 1 when traveling.

I know what you mean about speeders, they are very flimsy and normally don't last more than a turn or two, but in sallies lists I find them particularly a effective DS unit with the dual MM / HF fit outs. Many times for me one had come in late game, popped a tank/toasted a unit and then zoomed off to grab a back line objective / linebreaker, more than making their points back.

I would strongly consider 2-3 squads of LotD if you're using Vulkan... I've seen them devastate an AdLance formation with ease. I also think your tac squads with a simple flamer would perform fine from a pod if used to hunt other troops, and I'd also look into some assault squads with double flamers and free pods. The command squad is nice though, it's an efficient suicide squad with 5-melta on turn 1... and cheaper than sternguard I believe.

I wasn't aware LotD benefited from Vulkans rule that twin links melta weapons.

Oh yes, and the fact that they can have 3 melta, multi, combi, regular, and then they ignore cover(crucial) makes them basically an auto include in my salamander lists. Automatically Appended Next Post: They benifit as long as they are in the salamanders cad.

Yeah, really no reason not to include them in any SM elite slots as the host of special rules that come with them make them pretty difficult for your opponent to deal with. The added advantage of benefitting from Vulkans buff makes the melta teams just awesome.
Whatever you do though, don't go buying the LotD models - over priced even when buying second hand. Just paint up some normal marines in black with flames, have a go at some basic green stuff too for boney bits, save money and have fun doing it. There are some great tutorials online.

I did my LotD with some basic hand painted flames on the pauldrons, then picked up some skull bitz from friends.
As someone who uses 2 of the melta teams in my salamanders list, I can tell you they will always be your best friend. Just be nice and get a second beacon or even a third. Only thing better than a legion squad is one that's risk free!

I went 3-0 at the tournament and came in 2nd to another player who went 3-0, missing the top spot by a single point.
Overall I liked the list but I could have definitely used a LotD unit or two in the last game. Overall the list as is is strong but I went ahead and got a CSM and Tac box with my prize support and have built three LotD squads with those, 2 all melta 1 all plasma. I won't normally use the plasma squad in tournament play but our casual meta is heavy Space Marine bikers and MEQ in generally and I like the idea of a relentless Plasma Cannon that ignores cover deep striking next to some bike squads
