Subject: So I bought myself a dwarf army... (help with armybuilding)

...or at least the beginning of one. The question is what to get next?
So far I have the Morgoth rising box coming in, as well as a box of 20 ironclads that I got cheaply of ebay. I also bought the dwarf warsmith, which probably is one of Mantics best sculpts.
In total this brings me up to:
- 20 Ironclad
- 20 Ironclad
- 10 Ironwatch
-10 Shield Breakers
-1 Ironbelcher.
What units should I complete with to get up to a decent army list?
Since it also contains a bunch of undead I also got (I had 10 revenants and a catapult in my mini pile):
20 Skeletons
20 Revenants
15 Zombies
10 Ghouls
2 Balefire Catapult
Since I already have a huge tomb kings army these are not prioritized, but if anyone have an idea of a decent 1000-1500 points army list laying around....

That's a reasonable start to a dwarf army. To fill things out I would suggest getting an army standard or two (inspiring is gold) another couple of cannons (or so) and some brock riders (flankers and objective grabbers).
Most of the KoW Dwarf armies I have faced have been gunlines but I'm am hoping that the new version of the rules make the list a little more dynamic.

Dwarves are something I still have little experience in at this stage, but for undead, I'd suggest getting some cool figures for Wraiths and Wights. I'm no expert with undead, but people here always enjoy using them, and they seem to do well enough.
Mantic's Wraiths are decent models, and you can always use them as Wights with a differentiated paint job.
http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/kings-of-war/undead/product/undead-wraiths-10-figures.html
I'm not a fan of their actual Wight models,
http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/kings-of-war/undead/product/undead-wights-3-models.html
But for almost the same price you can get some beautiful figures (ok, you get 2 instead of 3 for the same price, but still...)
http://otherworldminiatures.co.uk/shop/undead/ud8-wraiths-2/
You can also get them from Fireforge with free post for orders over 30 quid instead of paying extra for postage (I just ordered some of these myself)
http://www.firestormgames.co.uk/wraiths-2
Some other really nice models as well
http://www.firestormgames.co.uk/lich-with-staff
With Otherworld, I'd only buy in-stock items, since I know from ordering direct in the past that they can take a long while for things to come back in. (I missed the Lich!)
Wights, Wraiths (maybe a small unit of mummies as well?) and a couple of characters to provide you with some Dark Surge will really bulk out an undead army, points-wise.

If you have a Warsmith then you will also want some more cannon.
And, as dwarfs... you will want more cannon.
I have had very good results with the Brok cavalry - having cavalry in the otherwise slow moving dwarf force gives you a lot more tactical choices.
Rangers, likewise, add options - and can work well with the Brok to give a chance of an early flanking on an enemy unit. (I use the ones by Avatars of War. They are some of the dwarfiest looking dwarfs that I have ever had the pleasure of painting.)
And a nice big unit of Bulwarkers to soak up attention and hold the line.

Those otherworld Wraiths are excellent! Thanks for the tips! I will look in to Mantic wraiths as well. I also agree that the Mantic Wights are not very exciting. Good thing that there are a lot of other excellent models out there!
Sorry for the bad photo, just grabber a snapshot under my desk lamp.
I have these old Heartbreaker Undead Lords. Does anyone have an Idea what they could be used as? I am thinking of putting them on 40mm bases (the 20 mm they came with looks very unproportional to the minis) and maybe using them instead of Werewolves.

The large weapons and 'floating skirt' legs immediately made me think of wraiths, but I'd be sorely tempted to run each as some sort of character - the sculpts are just too impressive to waste on the rank and file! The one with the orb could definitely pass as a necromancer and the addition of some 'cloth' draped from the scythe blade (or guesome trophies, if you prefer) could make a standard bearer out of the other.
If you have more of them and wanted to run them as a unit of werewolves, I'd definitely let it fly. They look agile enough (hard to trip when you're floating ) and I'm sure they'd hit hard.

Reaper makes some great undead leaders -
My favorite is Tar-Baphon, a little pricy but awesome
Barrow Warden Mystic is great too!
And Barrow Warden Lord

Good suggestions about characters. I am still leaning towarsds werewolfs though, they are a bit to big for 20mm bases. I found that Ral Partha Europe still manufacture and sell these guys, but there is no third sculpt. But a conversion could be fun. I'll have to think about it.

Welcome for the links, Jorny. And some very nice models there, Doug.
And yeah, Reaper is really full of great, characterful undead sculpts that can be used in a wide variety of roles in an Undead force. Both in Bones and Metal.

Heh, I was thinking Tar Baphon....
But with a bit of green stuff or a head swap - I think that he would make an awesome Morghoth the Faceless.

bring at least 4 regiments of ironclad. fill in with 3 more regiment sized units. afterwards, add a organgun or cannon for each solid unit you have; which is all of them at this point, and finally add a warsmith or 2 depending on the amount of cannons you use. basically youre making a gun line, with plenty of scoring units for objective games, and with plenty of firepower that can reroll misses (not all). in kill games this rough list forces the opponent to run right through your enterlocking fieldsnof fire which not alot of armies can deal with. playtest and see if it fits your dwarven playstyle.
