Please be gentle as I am a noob at painting. Any constructive criticism would be great. And happy to be here there is a wealth of knowledge here.

wow! That's really great painting, esp for a first timer - be proud.

If I was to say anything to improve, be a little neater where you paint, biut this just comes with practice.

Keep painting, and keep posting.

Help me guys, I can't think of anything to advise him on. Really, what he needs will come with practice and trying out new techniques and stuff.

Is the one guy blue on purpose? You know you could make each unit a different color. It might help keep you from getting tiered of painting all those little rats, change it up a little between squads.

yes one is blue and i painted one black just to change it up a bit. thank you guys for positive feed back. Next unit will be cleaner. But the rats have me going out of my mind right now. What do you guy's break up once you get tired of painting one thing like skaven? I was thinking of paint something diffrent to change things up a bit. but do not know?

I wish my first attempts had looked something like this! Seriously, that's impressive work!

It's difficult to tell on the pics, but can you pick out obvious differences across the unit as you have got better from one model to the next?

SO I started with one ratman at first. then ended with the leader and 4 others. I felt the very last batch that I completed blending of the skin where shadows would be darker vs where the sunlight would hit have come a long way. Also my first rat feels a bit clean for a skaven. After reading about the skaven. It gave me a better sense of how they should feel to me which is a bit darker and dirtier. Sorry my camera is not the best. The spearman being the first guy i painted I forgot his belt and chalked it up to him using scraps of red cloth to use as a belt in hind sight it would look ten times better bone white with wash to make it dirty. I think it would have poped more.
