I have a lord that i feel is too blank. If anyone has any ideas on what i can add, please let me know. Or if you have any pictures of something you did, feel free to post.

I am aware of the illegalities surrounding the lychguard. That is just how i have them displayed.

A couple of things.

Paint the handle of the weapon a higher contrast color - black, or bronze or something like that.

Use a wash - either a black wash, followed by maybe a light brown if you want a more tarnished look.

paint the weapon blade a darker color metal (like leadbelcher) and then the edge something lighter (like silver).

put something a bit bigger on the base. What is your basing theme? Add some color - the model is a bit all one color theme.

Best of luck!

As said above, but as for colors to add: Maybe some blue like you see on ancient Egyptian mask and such.

I was looking for help in regards to adding old bits from other models to spruce this one up, but thank you.

(A little fun fact: The only GW paint i own is the golden griffon dry paint.)

The Lord model is boring and dated.

I always just modify a Lychguard. Ironically, they look more like proper lords than the lords.

If that is the case, I would;

Cut off the top of the weapon, put on the weapon head from a praetorian weapon.

Then bend the arm in a different pose, or remove all together, and replace with arm from another kit.
