Just finished building my version of Captain Pellas Mir'san, Master Harath Shen, and a command squad. Painting will commence as soon as the weather cooperates for spray priming. C&C always welcome.

Captain Pellas Mir'San

Spoiler:

Command Squad and Harath Shen

Spoiler:

Possible future updates will include Raven Guard, Black Legion, and Renegades and Heretics.

Was dissatisfied with my current Harath Shen:

So I bribed a friend to part with his unused FW apothecary, and did a very straightforward conversion. The drake cloak method I've been using won't work with this model, so I'll have to figure out an alternative.

Thanks! I was heavily inspired by (i.e. stole shamelessly from) several existing conversions I found online. Even so, it took far too long for me to work up the gumption to start cutting and pinning. I wanted to force myself out of my comfort zone for these.

Since it looks like painting is still a no-go today, I thought I'd show an example of my current painting style for some preemptive C&C. I only recently started using a wet palette, and discovered the sorcery that is Lahmian Medium mixed 1:1 with GW washes. Here's an example of my former style:

Here's my current style:

I still have a hate-hate relationship with hard edge highlighting, and I'm not sure whether I want to pursue it or not. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Some Raven Guard I've been working on for a friend. The Anvil pieces were ridiculously nice to work with, while the FW pieces caused much grumbling.

Black Legion Obliterator. Model is a HiTech Miniatures Terrorizor.

They have quite a bit of bulk, even compared to terminators.
