Are you wanting to play pure GK or Not? If you ally you get some options that help cover GK's weakness and make some really strong combos with multiple special characters.

On your list:
DLD really is kinda Niche I would drop it. Give him a hammer.

Dreadnoughts really don't cut it anymore imo. They are not terrible but without psy ammo just lack the punch they used to have and there are better things.

Termis really have no use for staves run 1-2 Hammers in squad instead.

Cut the Size of your terminator squads and give them LRs. AV 14 Objective secured. is tough to beat.

And Most importantly.

Run just about as many Dread knights as you can fit. I believe they are the Star of the Codex.

Storm ravens I have found are nice but hate the fact you can't start with them in play. Still very good though.

If your going to run a Single Knight I would suggest a Castigator if you take my suggestions an Errant if you don't.

Hope this helps.

Thanks fo rthe Reply. I am not a fan of the Cas. Knight due to no D weapon. I know its still a S10 but that is still going to need a 4+ on a monolith or such. I normally put in the Errant, no clue why I didnt this time. I got smoked by a few battle cannons this weekend that might be it.

I mainly put the staves on the units for the Ward allowing me to deny on a 4+ if being targeted. Do you not think that is worth it?

I am having a lot of trouble finding the love for Dreadknights. They do not seem worth it to me. At 200 or more for the set up (how I typically see them) I would rather take 2 Dreadnoughts. I will check it out. i have a friend who has been letting me Proxy my models to GK to get an idea of what I want to build.

I have been seeing the lack of love for the dreadnoughts though so i am going to change that around some.

Thank you for the Help ill be reposting a new list shortly with the help.

Disagree DLD is kinda auto take. More spells from demonology is always a good thing and it's cheap enough. Also why the Paladin hate? 2 battle cannon shots at 72" is exactly what a GK army needs - the ability to reach out and hit things that are out of the rest of your armies range.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Well Still no Land Raiders. I am just not a fan of the Dreadnoughts.

I don't like the ward staves because in all my game I have had a grand total of 2 games in which my opponent was casting offensive spells rather then blessings.

Be sure to give the P. Teleporter to the Dreadknights thats what makes them so good.

I worry about the terminators lack of transport. Yes you can deep strike them but the you all nice an bunched up for Pie Plates of doom. If you start them on the field then they are foot slogging for at least 2 turns min eating all the fire.

Say it with me now everyone:

Inquisition Ally
take an imperial bunker w/ comm relay (75)
an inquisitor with 3 servo skulls
3 servitors with free multi-melta upgrades

All for 139 points!!!!

This way you can almost guarantee your deep strike rolls / reserve rolls (hey.. look... you have storm ravens!) 88% of the time instead of 66%.

You put that bunker within 3" of an objective... and BAM objective secure (14 av all day erry day)

Servo skulls - they reduce deep strike within 12" of a servo skull to ONLY 1d6... so you can more safetly / easily drop terminators right where you want them. PLUS - it keeps infiltrators / scouts from getting within 12" of them during deployment. Huge win.

AND 3 multi-melta servitors for 30 points... because duh..

So they have a firebase, on an objective, that guarantees your deep strikes to contend with.

I see your point in needing Land Raiders, don't think I am ignoring you. I just have a hard time spending 250 points on them. Ill see what it looks like. I wanted to put PT on them not sure why I didn't.

My FLGS has a lot of casters. Most of them use at least one offensive spell. So for 20pts in the army and almost everything get AW I can't pass it up. I also don't see them as that bad of a choice they are +2 S add that to hammer hand and you are at the same S as a PF or Hammer.

Inquisition confuses me...... Not sure why.

You need at least 1 or 2 hammers in Each terminator Squad. With hammer hand they are Str 10 ap 2 and with Force instant death.

They are Vital for dealing which such a Variety of annoyances I can't see not giving at least 1 to every squad.

Run the one as a 10man terminator squad: you can always split them and then you have more flexibility

Thanks. I thought about it. The only reason I wasn't sure was I planned on Deepstriking them and I don't like the idea of 10 being all huddled together for a turn. Should I be to worried about that?

Also I made one last change. I removed the Nought and a Librarian and added Draigo.

You may Combat Squad a unit directly before deployment. If you do this suggested option, you decide, based on game-to-game feelings, whether you want to split or not. If you split the unit, it would DS in as two separate units, leaving a much smaller footprint.
