Thanks! I could do a whole legion, but that would be a little more capital intensive than I'd like. I finished the model, just have to get him in the lightbox. Yellow is a real pain to photograph!!!

Turns out I've traded for 10 Tartaros Terminators, 20 Cataphracti Terminators and a Spartan. I will now be taking your advice and painting the Terminators and Tanks to match Polux and then sell them as a 'Pride of the Legion' army lot!

So the 10 Tartaros Terminators are soaking, being stripped so I can re-assemble and re-prime. Then the Spartan goes for a bath! It's in pretty rough shape, which is always a little disappointing when doing a trade, but it's nothing that can't be fixed. the Cataphracti terminators, on the other hand, are beautiful and new and will be a blast to build and paint, as always! I'm going to be adding two Sicarians, two Land Raiders and a Xiphon Interceptor for added flavor and the splash of the hot new thing. I really like the model and am looking forward to painting it up! I'll have to go through my bases to see what I have, but they'll most likely be on Secret Weapon Miniatures bases. It's a nice 30k force that can be used as a core for 40k if so desired, and I think the auction will garner some serious interest.

On another note, I also have 5 Firedrakes that I got for a song that I'll be painting up while waiting for the Fists to be ready. All that yellow will be much easier to paint all at once, that's for sure. Next up on the commission front is a Blood Angels Land Raider, 10 more Long Fangs and a Space Wolf Sicarian (which will be good practice for the Fists!). There is also a Death Korps of Krieg project in the pipeline, though that's a little further down the trough at the moment.

I also find myself in search of inspiration these days, and as such will be trying to branch out from 30k/40k between commissions and look at some other game systems and some other models to mix it up and push myself. That's going to be a lot of fun. First up (when I have time) is Mean Jellybean from Dark Age Miniatures. Awesome name, awesome model, can't wait to paint him. I also have a couple miniatures that have been waiting literally decades to be painted and I am determined to get them done ASAP. They've waited long enough! I'll also try to be better about posting more WIP as I go!

WIP Firedrakes

Finished the Firedrakes, but am having some trouble getting good pictures of them. I will figure it out and upload them when they're done. On to the next project!! More Space Wolves!

Pimping out the Caestus:








Mounted Logan Grimmnar's hover sled on a scenic base from Secret Weapon Miniatures. Love the base, and will be using one for a neat little project down the line (stay tuned!). So, mounting the sled and the wolves on a scenic base isn't the easiest thing in the world. Between pinning and extra glue that will be covered by the snow effects, it'll be sturdy (fingers crossed!).








Also needed to take a break from power armor and knocked out a Necron Immortal test model for a prospective client. He has a very large army project that I'm hoping he chooses me for! It was a fun little model to paint (need to figure out how to use Tamiya Smoke a little better for shading (especially when vehicles come into play).

Really really happy with how the nacelles turned out on the Caestus.

DIY stencil for the Ragnar head on the nacelle. Turned out awesome, if I don't say so myself! :-D

Finished up the Caestus, Sicarian and Diemos Predator. Now on to Logan Grimnar on Stormrider. For all the grief people give this model, I'm having a good time painting it!!! Trickiest part so far was figuring out how to mount Stormrider and the wolves onto a scenic base. Figured it out tho!

And the project that I'm really really really excited for is up next after the Blood Angels! It's a 10 man squat warband with a Bounty Hunter for an INQ28/Necromunda style game. These minis are so cool, and I'm really excited for the project!!!

More WIP of the Squat warband. Just flesh to go.

Squats are done! Just the Bounty Hunter and then basing! Then it's on to the big boys: 4 Imperial Knight Wardens!

Finished painting the squats. Just need to dust with a little pigment and then take photos. Up next: four Knight Wardens!!! Well to be more accurate: One Warden, One Crusader, and two magnetized for any flavor.

All four Knights ready for the painting table. Roughly 127 separate pieces, give or take. A little overwhelming at first blush, but it'll be fun!

And so it begins....

Some WIP on the airbrushing portion of the Knights. Used Tamiya metallics, then some Tamiya Smoke, finished off with a little Midnight Blue Clear by Badger Minitaire. Love how the metallic portion turned out. The heraldry was a lot of fun too. Working on the trim now, which actually is not taking as long as I feared it would. I am absolutely LOVING this project. I knew I would enjoy painting the Knights, but they have exceeded even my expectations. Can't wait to do more!

Some more WIP Pictures of the Knights. They're finished now (yay!). Such a fun project. It was interesting doing four at once, and having two different paint schemes and three different basing schemes across the four Knights. Really really pleased with how they turned out. Two of the four are magnetized, while the other two (mine) are not.

A couple of previews of my next couple of projects. First up is a little repair project on a Reaver TItan. The client commissioned it from another studio some time ago and unfortunately it broke apart during shipping. I'm not repainting or touching up, just repairing (with 1/16" rods and JB Weld). The other project is a large Bushido gang - the Silvermoon Syndicate. This is a fascinating project as it has so many different models and will require many difficult techniques, including painting tattoos! woo-hoo! Will be a nice break from power armor and machines for a little while, especially because I have a growing list of Space Wolves eagerly waiting for me on the other side!
