So, in recent 40K games against Tyranids, I hvae been running a CAD. I play 5th edition. Here is an example army list.

HQ:

Captain Karlaen 165 (Melta bombs, terminator armour, thunder hammer)

Varro Tiguirus 230 (Knows all psychic powers availiable to Ultramarines)

Elites

5 BA Termies 275 (Illegal build, but that doesn't matter in my campaign) (heavy flamer, cyclone missile launcher, assault cannon, 2 chainfists, sargent with storm bolter and power sword[modeled with power fist, but used as power sword])

5 Ultramarine Termies 200

BA Sanguniary Guard 245 (Death masks, plasma pistol, power fist)

Furioso Dreadnaught 175 (upgrade to Librarian, knows Blood Lance and Smite)

Troops

5 Death Company 285 (power sword, power fist, thunder hammer, hand flamer, infernus pistol, plasma pistol, jump packs)

Lemartes 150

Ultramarine Scouts 85 (Missile Launcher)

Fast Attack

BA Land Speeder Typhoon 100 (Typhoon missile launchers, multi melta)

Heavy Support

Ultramarine Devestators 190 (2 plasma cannons, 1 heavy bolter, 1 lascannon)

TOTAL: 2100pts

Pointers:

1. Because the Ultramarines and Blood Angels worked together for 3 years beginning in 746.M41 figting Tyranids, I see no reason why they should not work together again.

2. Karlaen has Calgar's trust, and he hopes not to lose it.

3. Karlaen and Varro Tigurius know each other very well.

4. My games seem to go well. Exception being the last game, in which it became one sided. (tyranids won)

Point costs for Karlaen and tigurius also Several other Point costs are wrong, also what army Organisation plan are you Using?
Cause in standart rules the List is illegal.
When this doesnt matter n Ur campaign give us a shortcut what rules do Apply?


Also... Ultramarines dont like blood angels.

And since I have ultramarines too, why not?

i Checked Codex: Blood Angels (5th Edition), pg. 13 and there is nothing about ba helping out the smurfs

Ultramarine Devestators 222 ( +2 marines, 2 plasma cannons, 1 heavy bolter, 1 lascannon)

TOTAL: 2097pts

As you can see, I added an attack bike and 2 more devestators (with boltguns). When we took out the Ultramarine scouts and added the BA attack bike, we came up with 2065. Add 2 more ultramarine devestastators, and you get 2097. Our old total was 2100. We get pretty close to our old total.

Thoughts?

Clearly Master Amit of the Flesh Tearers was filled with ragehate at no longer being a Blood Angel.. but even if the *actual* remaining Blood Angels shared his belief as he claims, they've all been dead for a very very very long time..

That quote was from a Captain of the Patriarch's of Ulixis not the Ultramarines.

That'd be because the timeline starts on page 14..

Also note the Second Armageddon War entry on page 16 which says both Tu'Shan of the Salamanders and Marneus Calgar of the Ultramarines ceded overall command of Astartes forces to Dante.. (something that's been canon ever since the Battle for Armageddon boardgame came about almost 25 years ago..)
