Oregon. I have died of dysentery.

I'm running a huge sale on a bunch of my 28mm-scale cardstock model kits. Choose from dozens of terrain sets for under $1 each. They're designed to be easy to assemble with just a few common hobby tools, and many of my PDF kits include a variety of graphics layers you can adjust with a click of your mouse, so you can customize your models before you print. It's a great bargain and a ton of fun. The sale is on now at Wargame Vault, RPGNow and DriveThruRPG.

Looks really nice. Have a free bump and good luck with your sale, I see some stuff I am going to have to get for my mordheim campaign.

Love these cardstock buildings.

Quick, easy and cheap way to fill the tabletop and they look great.

I wish more different un-layered variants were included with each model. The layer system is brilliant but doesn't really work if you go to a print shop (which everybody should, at the cost of printing at home you might as well buy resin buildings)

Can't you 'print' a pre-layered version before going to the print-shop? Take along a batch of single-layer PDFs.
I'll have to try when I get home.

Are these actual cardstock buildings? Reading the product description it's pretty clear that there is no actual cardstock product involved. If this is a digital product then calling it a cardstock building is quite misleading. Terraclips, Battle Systems, etc all sale cardstock kits. This is a digital file and card or whatever else is not what you're selling.

The worst part is I think you're serious.

You'll notice that Dave says he's selling kits, not complete cardstock bulldings. Kit means some assembly required, and that you may need to provide some component not supplied by the seller of said kit to complete it. It's been that way in the plastic model industry for more than my 40 years involvement, and I see Fat Dragon Games, World Works Games, and others use the same terminology every day without anyone blowing a gasket.

If he'd included the word "Complete", you might have a point. He didn't, and you don't.

Exactly. They are digital kits to be printed onto cardstock. Such things are a long-time staple.

Especially when most of them are the layered style, there isn't anything that can be complained about. The low ruined building, for example, can be made in three different footprints, and I can use one digital file to make buildings for 25mm fantasy, 25mm modern/sci-fi, and if you leave the doors and windows off so there is nothing to judge scale and add battle-damage to taste, the cement ones can even be used for Epic 40K ruins or for Dropzone Commander as destroyed buildings as you bring buildings down.

I think I may have to get 3-4 kits tonight!

That whole ruined building pack is hard to pass up. Glad most of these come with layers to turn things into a more modern concrete style too!

Don't need any at the moment, but love the ones I have.

Here's my tent city in action - cost me about $5 total including printing.

I think I'll start doing that with my Rake's Corner models, which are all designed to be ready-to-print and do not contain optional layers. I can include three versions in each.

Hey Dave, Your fantasy stuff is phenomenal, but if you don't mind me asking, is there any particular reason you don't do more modern terrain ?

I guess the reason I've done so little modern terrain is because I still have so much to explore in my favorite genres, which are fantasy and sci-fi.

I could give you other reasons and get real deep into my creative process, the financial realities of papercraft as a profession, the tabletop hobby market and so on, but ultimately I design things that are the most interesting to me.

Fair enough.

Do you have a table filled with a massive paper city of your own creation ?

Not any more, but I would if I were playing any 28mm-scale games right now.

Quick! Somebody draft Dave for a Mordheim campaign!

The Gate buildings, in particular, are very nice for Mordheim.
