Ey y'all right now I'm painting up my Khorne Daemonkin Brazen Beasts army and have a question. You see that picture I took of the GW Book with the Berzerkers in it? Good! Now look at the Brownish-Redish color then look at the picture I took of my first coat of a mix to try to copy that. I used a 1-1 mix of Mephiston Red to Rhinox Hide and to my eyes it looks pretty good, but my eyes shouldn't be trusted... Or should they? Are the colors almost identical? If not what color/mix of colors should I use to emulate that brownish-redish color of their armor.

LONG LIVE THE BRAZEN HORDE! SKULLS FOR KHORNE! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

Looks good to me, but the issue we've got here is bad lighting. It's hard to really compare just from your photos there.

I just took the picture with them right beside each other. Don't think any room for failure there.

I'd say it looks pretty darn close.

Why do you want it to look exactly like gw's anyways?

Because I'm a fluff manic. I justify the use of BloodCrushers to the point of researching for 5 hours straight on how to use the Brazen Onslaught formation and actually eventually did It just so I could have fluff accurate Brazen Beasts. I am so fluff oriented I refuse to make my Berzerkers do anything that doesn't involve blood spilling. Groveling cultists can get objectes... This is a long rant with no real purpose at all I'm just continuing to talk with no reason or logic to back me up. In summary, I want them to look like GW's Minatures because i like fluff and want people to recognize them as Brazen Beasts being able to walk up to the table and say, "hey by your marines color scheme and by the fact that you are using so much armor in this assault list you must be running a Brazen Beasts army."

It's actually really hard to tell from photos and when viewing on a computer screen. The photos may not have captured the colours correctly, GW may have photoshopped their image to give slightly different colours and people viewing the images probably don't have colour calibrated monitors.

It looks good to me though. You might want to give it a shade and a highlight and see how it comes out.
