An online PVC banner place has an offer on recently which was five pounds for a 3x3 banner so I decided to give it a go. I haven't gamed on them yet but figured I would give a quick photo of what these things end up looking like. If an online banner place that deliverers to you and has a cheap offer on like this give it a shot.

I tried to source some through one of my workshops. The last time I checked, a 4' x 8' would have set me back about 110$ cost if I did only one. That seemed like a lot of money for a static, albeit very durable, design.

For 3' x 3' tables, that's a good idea.

Yeah that's a bit pricey. These kind of places have deals quite a lot.. If you could get two 4x4 banners that would likley work out cheaper.

Just tried my x wing one for a game today and seems to have worked well.

There are some on ebay that are cheap if you supply your own design.

Even at full price they are only about £12.

Is that the same material they also call truck tarpauline?

If so, you got a very good price! I did something similar for X-Wing: Googled a star field image (almost) large enough (roughly 7000x5000 p) and had it print(ed) on 1,2x1,2m. (4x4)
22 EUR, shipping included.

Also did a two-player Android:Netrunner playmat. Looks awesome!

I would not use it for the other games I am playing (Freebooters Fate, Infinity) but that is because both really grow with the terrain used, and we like to build our own things, including the table.
