So after making my AL special forces veterans, i decided to carry on and make some true scale as i had an abundance of military type heads left. After doing some research on true scale i decided the terminator legs and bulked out torso version would be best as the legs look natural and not bowed like some of the enlarged regular space marine legs do. So here is my first true scale alpha legionaire. Hes inspired by the vietnam war and the special operations group. I wanted marines that look military and not like some tarted up roman soldiers. He will have resin poured around his feet to give the effect hes patrolling through a river or watercourse

Thanks guys. Well the brief story i gave for them was that they were a unit of spec ops types conducting clandestine ops in preparation for the istvann campaign, but got left behind while undercover after the massacre. Now with no part in the alpha legions master plan, and no connection to the imperium, they continue to do the only thing they know how, inflitrate other legions and conduct black ops undercover, hence the ultra symbol. Most of my alphas have some other chapters livery on them somewhere

I like it, but the vox stuck to the back pack like just looks too bulky and unnatural, especially for someone in covert ops.
I think a better way to combine them might have been to take parts off the vox caster and add them to the backpack. That way it's a more natural looking combination without looking like he's wearing a backpack on his backpack.

That and it doesn't look like he'd be able to reach his flamer without taking the whole thing off.

Yeah i see your point, but it doesnt bother me too much, as when youre on lightscale without the luxury of a vehicle you gotta carry all your kit, and it does get a bit bulky

Some more. im done with alpha legion ts for now, but will continue making true scale as its so enjoyable.

I love the guy in the second picture. Taken just after shooting a tyranid in the face this is the native space marines "OHHHHHHH" face.

An old pic of some of my truescale marine in both grey knight and deathwatch flavors. For the deathwatch guys, I've stripped and repainted them twice so theyre not currently like that but rather built more to make one chapter per marine in the squad. I just haven't gotten around to painting the final version of the squad yet so an old pic of both will have to do. Some more pics are in my gallery though.






Another pic that might help is a scale one I did showing normal humans in both regual, power, and termie armor and marines in the the last two.
