I want every Knight in my Imperial Knight army to look individualized, as if they were created separately by individual artisans. So, that means that 4 out of my 5 need to be something other than a GW model. I all ready have one scratchbuild, an old Epicast Knight, and a resin Dreamforge Leviathan stand-in (the resin one was about an inch taller than the new plastic one).

So, with that in mind I started with the 15mm scale Dreamforge Leviathan. It was too small, so I used ebay to snag a Lord of Skulls torso and an extra Dreamforge arm weapon.

The legs, arms, and waist are still just as articulated as the Dreamforge model. Weapons can still be easily swapped. With the LOS torso added it comes in at 6 inches tall. Total cost (including extra arm) $73.

Pose is too static, even more so than the GW ones, and scrap off the chaos symbols if you're building them to be imperial. The cannon barrel length looks too long as well, the recoil is going to blast off its arm.

yeah, I agree the pose is static. I'm not going to keep it that way. That's one of the reasons I started with a Dream Forge Leviathan. This thing has about 20 points of articulation. I can switch him to a running pose, stomping on something pose, or whatever on a whim.

Also, this is a WIP. Those Chaos symbols on the chest will soon be ball turrets for heavy stubbers.
