This is my army's centre piece, the only thing left to do is decide how to do his centre chest gem so I would appreciate feedback on that.

I'm not master painter but I am cuffed with his magnetisation - he can take every option including the shoulder guns and sun cannon not shown. He also breaks apart for transport and fits into one tray of my GW crusade case.

Excellent. I like it a lot. The white is clean and pure, and the green is deep and even. I think you did the model real justice!

My only slight point of criticism is the base being a little static to my eyes. And maybe a light wash over the white (or black) wouldn't hurt

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Thankyou for your encouragement, the white took 3 cans of spray to get right so I don't want to touch it again with a wash. The black has now been highlighted in grey since these photos were taken which stops it looking so flat.

Any ideas on how I could improve the base?

If he is Biel Tan you could use the thorn pattern to break up some of the larger areas

It might be the flash, but the whites looks a little flat for my taste. I prefer a very light grey highlighted up to full white.

as for the gem. can't go wrong with a swirly glowy pattern.

though, in the case of your biel tan WK, a thorny glowy swirly would be ace.

I don't know how you do swirly patterns though!

then practice dude! A wraithknight is a $115 model, and it is worth at least buying some airbrush stencils and brushing them onto the white areas.

If you don't know how to do the swirly pattern, look it up, and practice on some paper, or a cheap, almost dead model.

you dont have to wash the white fully, just the recesses with like nuln oil with a fine detail brush.

The base is pretty cool, but the green necron rods probably just shouldn't be there. They are not tubes of energy, but they are actual beams of energy in the fluff.

happy wargaming,

-Mikey
