I have always thought the BWGulch minis did one thing better than 90% of the Old West minis out there and that is to CONVEY ACTION. I don't mind Black Scorpion's Tombstone stuff, and Great Escape's Dead Man's Hand have some nice sculpts as well, but the BWGulch minis don't just stand there, they look like they're really in the middle of a gunfight! So I just wanted to give a big thumbs-up to the photos on the redesigned website that really let you see the detail of the miniatures. Previously you had to squint at the box-front photo to get an idea of what the minis looked like, and it did not do them justice. Now people can really see what they're getting, and coupled with the new lower prices enacted earlier this year there really is no reason NOT to procure some.

Thanks I’m hoping to take some all new pics soon, these are mostly the same photos I’ve been using for the last year or more. I have to repaint some of the original 4 gangs and it’s been taking longer than I wanted. I’ve also been looking into pro painting, I may do that for some minis but can’t do it for all, it’s pricey. I like to paint and think I can do em good, but not as good as some of those other games that have amazing paint jobs for everything. I know when I look at new minis I’m more inclined to buy if I see them pained awesomely.

One thing that bothered me about the other brands is some of them had nice sculpts but a lot of them were guys just standing there, so I wanted to have more active poses. Downside is this means more pieces, but i don’t mind gluing stuff. Some folks complained about pinning but I never pin normal sized minis and have never had any parts break off unless I dropped it on the floor (and what wouldn’t break if you did that?). I am a little worried about the new beasts though, like the Chupacabras each have 7 pieces, well 8 with the base. There’s a body, 2 arms, 2 legs, a tail and a head. But we sculpted them so they have little plugs so the parts should fit together easy, just gonna be tough for my sausage fingers to not get superglued together when I build em

I’m gonna try to cut down on the amt of pieces for newer beasts though. Kind of wondering how to do the Jackalopes.. there will be 3 in a pack and I’d like 3 different bunny poses, and 3 different sets of antlers so you can mix & match, but the antler pieces will probably be really really teeny. We could do it like 3 different heads with the antlers attached, but then they’d probably just have to be more like stubby little horns. They will be bigger than a rabbit though, probably like the size of your average dog or wolf, so maybe it won’t be so bad.

Exaaactly. Not that the other folks are bad, I just appreciate BWGulch's kinetic nature.
And the new larger photos (even if they are from old material) really drive home the detail of what the consumer is getting. Not to mention the superior price! (Now I sound like a commercial, I'll shut up now.)

I don't mind if the new stuff has multiple parts, I just get annoyed if the joints/pins/plugs don't line up or mesh well. Nothing worse than holding a tiny arm socket together so the glue can dry & having to fight the piece shifting all around and setting at an awkward angle.

Yeah the parts should all fit together good .. there were a few figures that don't have as good of a connection but now that everything is done in 3D we can have everything match up perfectly

I even thought about resculpting some of the original minis that were done in greenstuff to make them 3D but that wouldn't be for a while, at least not till the current versions are sold out
