But to bloated and unfocused for me - I don't think Hetzers/Panzers mesh - and no really good anti infantry capability

How about from fortress Italy

HQ tiger
2 tigers
2 tigers
4 semovente 105/25 (breakthrough guns)
2 8 rads (HG)
3 Nebs + transports
3 sdkfz 251/17

Covers all bases

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I dont have Grey Wolf. So I can only guess at options.
My first thoughts regarding this list is that it lacks numbers, it lacks infantry and it lacks artillery.
The first is pretty much a given considering the list. However three infantry to hold objectives is not enough. Also the lack of artillery support hampers yopu, especially as your list is slow.

What I would be looking for if you can have them:

Puma Panzerspah - AT9 guns with good mobility and a pricetag of 50pts each. I think you need some.

Panzerpioneers - Sd Kfz 251 based infantry, with a swap in flamethrower for cracking tough positions and the awesome Stuka zu Fuss for one use heavy bombardment.
Sd Kfz 251 also have self defence AA which cant hurt.

Brummbar - Cheap, very well armoured and with a nasty gun. Swap your other tanks fro these if you can. Brummbar add 'extra hulls' to your Tigerkompanie having fairly similar defensive characteristics, but at a much lower pricetag.

Horde infantry - German late lists often allow horde infantry platoons, often RT or worse. They are cheap and add to your platoon count and can assist if you face an always attack army. If you can provide some sort of cheap transport all the better. This is a lower priority buy though.

What to swap out.

Anything, up to everything except the Tigers, and Wirbelwind. All are useful but none are as critical as the options listed above.

Shwere Recon - Oddly enough these troops don't have the recon rule, only the motorbikes do.

Panzer Platoon - Pumas are recon so will help you with counter-flanking. They are also cheaper.

Hetzers - lovely vehicles but Brummbar serves you better here.

8.8cm - Cost effective heavy firepower, but wasted here. Your Tigers can carry you with regards to heavy AT.

How to get it.

As I dont have Grey Wolf I dont know what you can get. Atlantic Wall doesnt help as the Shwere Panzerkompanie also misses a lot of the above.
However your list has five Tigers, you can have almost that many in single Tiger platoon and have two maneuver units from them. looking at it thisd way you can have your Tigers in another list. Thus throwing our options open, and as four Tigers cost about 40% of the list on thier own they will dominate said list and turn it into Schwere Panzerkompanie in all but name.

Thanks for the quick responses.

I don't get access to Brumbars or Pumas in the Grey Wolf schwere list. I'll tinker around with selections and see what I come up woth.

Thanks again!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

On having a look though lists, I found you can have a half decent Tigerkompanie by using the Elefants - 653. Schwere Panzerjäger Abteilung .pdf list.

In 2k points you get three Tigers and two Elefants, including an HQ Tiger. This list allows you to take recon bikes, a grenadier platoon for numbers, cheap towed AA, motorised rockets, all good support, and the pair of Elefants offer frightening firepower, basically a budget Konigstiger.

However the best options come from taking a Gepanzerte Panzergrenardierkompanie, and maxing out with four Tigers. After Us Armor the Gepanzerte Panzergrenardierkompanie are my favourite list and allow all the tools you could want. Maxing out on Tigers restricts things a tad but is doable, and you can take a second platoon of Brummbar to make up the numbers of heavy stuff.

Using the basic (less efficient) Flames of War V3 list I was able to get:

Gepanzerte Panzergrenadierkompanie (Heer)
2x Cmd SMG team, 2x Sd Kfz 251/1 65pts

Combat Platoons
Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Platoon (Heer)
Cmd Panzerfaust SMG team, 4x Sd Kfz 251/1, 6x MG team 230pts

Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Platoon (Heer)
Cmd Panzerfaust SMG team, 4x Sd Kfz 251/1, 6x MG team 230pts

Weapons Platoon
Panzergrenadier Anti-aircraft Gun Platoon (Heer)
3x Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm) 90pts

Divisional Support
Heavy Tank Platoon (Heer)
4x Tiger I E 860pts
Assault Gun Platoon (Heer)
4x Brummbär 280pts

Panzerspäh Patrol (Heer)
3x Sd Kfz 234/2 (Puma) 150pts

Heavy Anti-aircraft Gun Platoon (Heer)
Cmd SMG team, Kfz 15 field car, 8.8cm FlaK36 gun (8 crew), Sd Kfz 7 95pts

Company Points: 2000

You could do better than this by taking a non basic list. But it has eight shwere-panzer, reasonable infantry cover, recon with secondary AT and enough AA for the job. While not how I would run Gepanzerte Panzergrenardierkompanie this is in reality a Shwerepanzerkompanie, just with the chance you will end up defending, which will be nasty against soviet tankovy.
Alternate Gepanzerte Panzergrenardierkompanie lists will allow you to replace one of the mandatory platoons with tanks of various types, also it would be nice to swap in some Maultier even at the expense of the 8.8cm. Though the latter is superior when defending against tanks.

Another option from Atlantik Wall :

Schwere SS-Panzerkompanie

Schwere SS-Panzerkompanie HQ
Tiger I E, Bergepanther 265pts

Combat Platoons
Schwere SS-Panzer Platoon
2x Tiger I E 480pts

Schwere SS-Panzer Platoon
2x Tiger I E 480pts

Weapons Platoons
Schwere SS-Panzer Anti-aircraft Gun Platoon
3x Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm) (armoured) 135pts

Schwere SS-Panzer Scout Platoon
1x Cmd Schwimmwagen MG team, 2x Schwimmwagen MG team 135pts

Support Platoons
Gepanzerte SS-Panzergrenadier Platoon
Cmd MG team, Sd Kfz 251/17 (2cm), 3x Sd Kfz 251/1, Panzerfaust MG team, 5x MG team 275pts

Armoured Rocket Launcher Battery Confident Veteran Allied Platoon
Cmd SMG team, Kfz 15 field car, Kubelwagen, Observer Rifle team, 4x Panzerwerfer 42 (5+ crew - counts double) 230pts

Company Points: 2000pts

SS gives you fearless, useful for a small list. SS panzergrens also have organic AA on command Hanomags. Maultiers/Panzerwerfer are always good, esp with cheap double firepower. Pity they are allied though due to SS.
Its a 'real' Schwere Panzerkompanie, but I think the Panzergrens make a better list.

I think thats enough help for you.

Orlath, thanks a lot for the obvious effort you put into both of your replies! Defo left me with some ideas and plenty of food for thought!

Cheers!
