The new version of iOS which Apple set live this evening (8.4) finally allows iPad enhanced iBooks to be read on iPhones as well. I've just tested it by downloading the Militarum Tempestus Enhanced edition, and it was legible/worked perfectly on an iPhone 6.

Rule pop-ups are now full screen, rather than a mini screen in screen, but aside from that they display as normal (screen size excepting).
