You should disable the ability to choose more than 1 poll option, as they ate mutually exclusive.

Then just choose one? I actually chose three:
1) I'll keep playing AOS, with an emphasis on friendly event days and drinking with mates
2) I'll keep playing 8E when able
3) I'm expanding into Malifaux
- Salvage

Played 5 or so games yesterday. Had a pretty good time.
Everyone i played with said that the game was in no way going to be legit for tourneys and such but that it was suited well to campaign style games.
Set up and army size is based soley on player to player agreement prior to playing. Though using a highlander style set up would probably be ideal in the future.
Had a few parents with kids come into the store and ask to try it. The game is entirely 100 percent more accessible to new players which coupled with the rules and warscrolls being free online makes this a awesome new step for GW.
All that being said, this is not the fantasy i started playing along ago, but 8th isnt going away and AOS is a fun variant on the classic.

They aren't. I'm not playing AoS until they release the full rules and play KoW. Not mutually exclusive.

The rules need some serious work. Both in how they function and how they're written. There's too much ambiguity coming from poorly written and organized rules.
If they fix that, there's potential.

I played my first 2 games today with friends. It was fun, the rules were simple and when played between friends i see this as quite a good game to play. The problem was we had to balance the battle internally purely through guesswork, which is Ok between friends but i would never play a Pick Up game of AoS, way to many broken things around which break the game.
So i will play both 8th and AoS, but i'm still hopeful the AoS rules become more balanced soon so i can play Pick Up games without worrying about fighting multiple Nagash's.

I will play the odd AoS game, primarily at the local GW gaming nights I guess, and only when I feel the game will be even and fun. However, I will primarily be sticking with 8th edition Fantasy and, if that dies out, be switching to Kings of War.

Played my first game tonight with my wife (I started WHFB back in 2nd and my Wife in 8th).
I felt it was crap...I can't even find a good thing to write about it. It was just 40k with arrows except even more unbalanced with rules that can easily be abused.
Hero abilities seem to be an instant cast, moving the same as 40k and pretty much resulted into run at them, shooting far to simplisic with arrows that some how have the same chance to wound a snotling than a greater deamon of khorne.
Combat seemed more straight forward but everything seemed to include a bucket of dice to resolve.
Panic tests (can't use the latest GW bs phrase) just seems rubbish and bravery is all over the place, my WoC have bravery 6 which is the same as an elf. Now this chap has walked to battle along side deamons yet gets a little scared when Fred dies? But wait....only he runs away not worrying Bert and Ernie?
My wife liked that the to hit rolls were on the cards but then that is something I can do for her units with the 8th edition rules.
I will be sticking with 8th and possibly looking at the new Kings of War.

for me just depends on the local meta/accessibility. If I can find games, I'll play. If not, I won't.
So far, it seems a good 5~10 of local players are still testing things out, giving a try, figuring out house-rules for balance, etc. While maybe the same amount have quit completely/given up.
The true answer, I can give a few weeks, or even a few months, down the road. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh, I will add, regardless of the local meta, AoS is fairly low on my to-play priority, until new models I want come out at least. I may play just a game a month until new Orks/Grots/Ogre models come out. Maybe more Chaos options besides just Khorne.

I'm waiting to see what these "duardin" look like before I buy anything new..
I'm playtesting quite a bit with my orcs, and it's okay. Not 8th, but not bad if house ruled
thanks

I'm waiting/curious to see if those rumors of just the 6 core armies (Humans, Elves, Chaos, Skaven, Greenskins, Undead) being supported post- AoS. If that's the case, there won't be any Duardin Unless they're just a unit or 2 as support for the "Humans" (read: Sigmarines, read: Order)

I'm not expecting to see any full "army books" as we know them now for a very long. They've wiped the slate clean so it's going to take a while before any one army has as many different units as we are currently used to. So for now (the next year or two) people will be playing with the 4 grand alliances.
