Thanks!

As per the above. The rules have been out for about a week now- what have your games been like?

I have yet to play a "fair" game, per se, but overall I like the system. Add a way to balance armies and I would invest more.

I'm confused, you asked how people are finding the game but said keep grumbling to a minimum but what happens if you hate the rules?

its like saying: Do you like this TV show? but keep negative opinion to a minimum.

does not compute, just saying theres people about here that might only have grumbles with this system.

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Maybe minimum means not just sitting here and saying you hate it over and over again like a group of posters are doing over in the N&R thread

At least that's the way I'd read it.

I think he means don't post 10,000 word screeds about how this is the death of GW.

I have not played it yet but my general impression is positive.

Most of the people I have talked to said the simplification of the rules is a benefit, it makes the game go quicker and involves a lot less research. I have been seeing people finish games in 1 - 2 hours, even with big forces.

Of course, ultra competitive players are struggling with the new system. For now, it seems like some people need to have some restraint to enjoy the game.

It's nice to have a racing track... in a race.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I am finding it dumbed down and thin, pretty much as expected.

Miniatures are very good but don't tempt me as there is nothing to port them into.

To sum up:

Games Workshop fantasy product range has changed from a product with a minimum target player age threshold into a product with a maximum target player age threshold.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
