I like it. You've got a lot of anti tank/mc. I could see this list doing really well against tyranids, and other armies that tend to have a lot of high toughness models or AV. I feel like you might struggle against mass infantry or even MSU. Something like the SM battle company with the AA auxiliary detachment could give you a hard time, but I think you'd be alright in most games. If it was my list I'd just leave the anti tank to the WK and the flyers and take a bunch of warp spiders to do the ground skirmishing. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks. At one point I did have another unit of scatbikes and two units of spiders in the host. I could run it that way and will certainly try it at some point. This list moves more in the direction of durability.

That is a heaping pile of high yield shooting. Are you expecting to run against a fair number of Imperial Knights or equivalent? Else this seems like overkill to me, I'd rather see one cut Fire Dragon / Serpent duo and in lieu a 10 man Spider squad.

The Crimson Death is fierce though. If you've got the models, rock on.

That looks better to me, I have the same opinion on 3 boats of Fire dragons as I posted in your cloud strike formation list. Would you consider dropping 1 spider for an exarch spinneret rifle?

The only real change I would make to this list is to drop the Autarch and the Scatter Lasers on the Wraithknight for a Farseer on jetbike. The Psychic potential is just too great, and it solves the problem of low Windrider leadership.

It does, but the autarch and scatter lasers both do some very important things, mainly, the autarch brings the crimson death in on a 2+, and the scatter lasers open the wraithknight up to four possible charge targets, which is extreme utility. But ultimately I agree, a farseer could only ever help out any list.

Do you run ITC rulings? If you do, I'd rather see your WK have the melee variety over ranged. Your anti-tank is more than sufficient as is.

I do like the sword and board, and at times I may run it that way, but I also like the capability of completely popping two separate vehicles or even super heavies from range.

I liked the first list with the triple fire dragons. You could drop 1 scatter bike and do 3 units of 3, or whatever. That gives you 27pts. You will need 30 points total to upgrade all of your wave serpents to falcons. For you I think falcons would be better than wave serpents. Give them scatter lasers and shuriken cannons. For 10pts you lose the serpent shield but you get a pulse laser and no scatter deep strike! That guarantees that your fire dragons get to shoot something and the falcons have some really nice firepower.

As for the wraithknight I'm going to go left-wing here and say you should go with the suncannon. I LOVE that gun! Also with the fire dragons and 3 crimson hunters you already have lots of high strength weaponry. You need more crowd control and the suncannon does it VERY well. It's great for taking out centurions, xv88s and well anything really, especially when backed up by 2 scatter lasers. Also the wraithknight is still as good as he ever was in the last codex at punching out tanks, I feel people forget how great he was at that without the D-sword.

The crimson death is solid

If you could find the points I would consider giving the autarch a power weapon and split him from the fire dragons when they disembark. Then the enemy has to devote some fire power towards him, separately from the fire dragons or risk being assaulted. Kind of gimmicky though since it will either go really well and result in the opponents

I know the entirety of my suggestions are a bit out of the norm so people will probs rip my post apart. But don't knock it till you try it!

The reason it matters if you are playing ITC, which my area is, is because of the nerfed ranged D.

Thats the fun I agree, but with ITC rules this will rarely happen. The max you can do is 2 wounds or 2 hull points, per gun, unless you hit with both but statistically you will only hit with one. Then with cover saves, your wraithknight just stands around shooting his SL. Trust me, I have ran with 2 wraithcannons and 2 SL because it is so good, until ITC nurfed ranged D, now he stands around not doing much. I have am going to be playing the wraithknight sword and shield and getting him into combat with stuff turn 2. So if you are not palying nerfed D, then go ahead and play that. way.

Yes, I understand what you're saying, for ITC I think sword would be much better.

On the side of the dual d cannons, A significant use I found from the two d cannons is popping drop pods. I know it seems trivial, but being able to kill both (or all 3 with a combat squad) obsec units in one turn has made a difference in ITC modified maelstroms for me
