I haven't gotten anything yet, and communication is spotty at best. Wondering what other members are going through and if anyone got their stuff.

Hi all - as I said in the last update I am trying to raise the funds to complete this project. I am still doing this by working on and promoting other projects outside of Baker Company and Winter War. I'm not doing anything else with Baker Company at the moment as Winter War is by far my highest priority. I am sending some items out to a few people this week and have been able to make a few refunds too for some that have requested them.
Thanks,
Gav

From the comments. So, looks like he fethed up with the estimates to produce all of that.

Pretty much. I backed and received the first two waves, so I did end up getting quite a bit. Last communication, he sent me a KS message back in December saying my final wave would ship end of Jan/beginning of Feb. The free shipping worldwide must have absolutely gutted his finances.

He promised to send me stuff for ages before changing to claiming to have sent me stuff quite awhile back, but frankly I think it was bs since it's incredibly rare that stuff actually goes missing in the post. I kept on his case and he actually sent it. The figures looks like they were sculpted with chewing gum. They might be ok for some, but they're poor quality models in my opinion. I know he owes me more stuff but I'm 100% not sure what he sent me since nothing was in any way labelled and I'm still too pissed off to look through his online catalogue to match the figures. Pretty much a write-off.

Oh, there's some dill weed who (only) turns up here every so often to pimp various Kickstarters who was a huge and insulting supporter of WWG to anyone who dared ask hard questions about the timeline, etc.

If we're thinking of the same person, I vaguely remember him putting his pledge up on eBay on moving on.

Not sure. He keeps turning up here again whenever he has something new to try to help pimp. Not an actual community member - just comes here to try to sell us on various KS.

So the minis were pretty bad huh? Wonderful. My wife bought in to the tune of around £220.

And yeah, I'm sure some people might be happy or satisfied with their figures. But coming from 20+ years of GW, Rackham, etc - and the Perrys and Warlord, Eureka, Empress for my historicals, these figures are chewing gum. They're still sitting in their unopened baggied in the box next to my computer from when I opened them up and had my "what the feth is this supposed to be?" moment. Of course, I still want the rest of what's owed to me, so I can then put them in a box and forget about them forever.

Which is a shame. I was quite keen for some decent Soviets and Finns. Warlord's got me covered as well as can be on those for the time being, I think. Onnea!

I opted for separate deliveries and have received two.

I am short some of the bonus figures such as Finn ski troops which, annoyingly, are available via the Baker Company website.

Personally I'm not that annoyed. I was a last minute backer, I've received £60 worth of figures and I view my KS backings as a relative gamble not as a guaranteed pre-order.

Now if I'd gone for one of the bigger orders, it would be a different story.

Most annoying is the apparent inability or unwillingness to post regular updates.

I have troule thinking of any time that a world wide free shipping offer hasn't ended up being a millstone around the neck. That should be one of the warning signs of potential trouble.
