Hey guys, I am looking into starting up some eldar. I want something a bit more mobile than I am used to and saw that GW has a starter set right up my alley, the Windrider Battlehost. I like playing low point games as they go quick so I was wondering what you guys thought of this list I put together

HQ
Farseer - Singing spear, Skyrunner - 120

Troops
Windriders -2x Shuriken cannon, 3x shuriken catapult - 105
Windriders -2x Shuriken cannon, 2x shuriken catapult - 88

Fast Attack
Viper - Brightlance, Shuriken cannon - 60

Heavy Support
Fire Prism - 125

Total - 498

The windriders, really should not be mix and matched with weapons, they should all be the same weapon across the unit to maximize its affectiveness. It makes 2 or 3 guys only there for wounds as you will be moving them quickly and keeping them out of range of there 12"catapults. I am not a huge fan of the fire prisim at this low of points, having 1 shot a turn sucks when it misses and does nothing for 2 turns in a row, when you could have 2 war walkers with dual SL, for 16 shots a turn and you could guide them for some infantry or light tank destroying. War walkers are fairly mobile as well since they have battlefocus and fleet.

I have to agree. Considering you won't see much heavy armour at 500 points - unless you have TFG that brings a Leman Russ - Scatter Lasers are good for all unit types, infantry, heavy infantry, monstrous creatures and transports - a jack of all trades. Perhaps a rocket launcher if you think you will see some serious armour.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Alright I took what you guys said into account. Here's the new list
HQ
Farseer, singing spear, skyrunner -120

Troops
Windriders x5, shuriken catapult -85
Windriders x4, TL shuriken cannon -108

FA
Vyper, brightlance -60

HS
Warwalker x2, scatter laser -120

The only issue I have with this is I am not too big of a fan of the warwalker models maybe they will grow on me

I was just looking around for warwalker alternatives, and stumbled upon the hornet. Has anyone tried it out? If so how'd it do?

In small point games you need numbers in the first place.
I'd take a Jetseer and fill the rest with Jetbikers.
