Anyone else encountered the great horror that is trying to paint one of these things? seriously, those hooves are hell to paint. where does the ancle start and the hoof begin, which part of the pointy bit is flesh and hoof stuff, and should everything that's smooth be cloth or flesh? Everyone seems to have their own way of painting them, and I quite frankly have settled for trying to hide them feet whenever possible. seriously, these things are absurd. I've painted 39 path finders and 36 fire warriors and I've done research, and I still have no clue what part is what when looking below a shas'la ankle.

The Tau foot is basically three parts, the cloth/leather becomes skin and then hoof. If you go to the GW site you can see they were painted with some skin showing there and on the models you can see the loop of clothing that goes around the base of their foot.

A lot of people, myself included, do actually paint the skin part as another metal plate and then either make the hoof covered or open.

I'll pluck you like a flower.

It's basically a camel toe without the hair.
