Hey guys I recently bought the FW Exclusive Legion Centurion



I am toying around with the idea to use the torso of the centurion together with some GK bits to create a Brother Captain/Grand Master Conversion
Here is my initial mock-up



I might change still change

- The backpack to a normal SM backpack
- Add the head with the daemon head (see image)

What do you guys think of this idea? Please leave your opinions.

I'm looking at doing something quite similar, using the centurion as a Templars high marshal, I think what uve got so far could end up looking pretty good but those terminator arms look a bit too bulky I rekon.

I'll prob end up keep his pistol arm and just replacing the hand to hold a GK nemesis force sword and for his right arm use a wrist mounted bolter from the BA sanguinary guard box and convert that to a flamer. And Ofc use a GK justiciar helm.

Thank you very much for your feedback eggroll1510. I terms of the shoulder pads I do agree that they are quite bulky but it also gives the armor a unique style
as it will count as Terminator Armor, I am going to think of some fluff explaining it's origins.

I also don't think that using the original arms will work as the hand on the GK weapons are too big and I don't have normal GK marine bits.

I think instead of giving him a flamer I will give him a Psilencer as it will work better at range.

Regarding the helmet I sadly enough can't give him one since it won't fit, but I do have another much better looking head.

Lastly I have been toying around with some other NFWs. Here are some more mock-ups.

I think I might give him a Halberd but count it as a Hammer depending on the situation, because the Halberd just looks so much cooler in my opinion

Lastly here is a mock-up for my GK Brotherhood Champion using some a spare FW torso and legs.

I actually think that the guy with the hammer loos really awesome. The storm bolter seems like a better choice then the psycanon though IMO. Just closer to the right size, which is really important when modeling for the table. Also my vote goes towards the first head.

Also you may want to check out the new dark angels bits from FW. The first thing I thought when I saw them was that they would make great grey knight pieces

Thank you very much for your opinion TheFivth and I do agree on the fact that storm bolter looks better in terms of scale. The hammer is really nice but I think I like the halberd more, it's a very iconic weapon of the GK in my opinion. I think I will give the model a storm bolter and halberd but depending on the situation count them as a hammer and/or a psilencer.

In terms of the head I like them both but I do agree and I am leaning more towards the first head.

Regarding the DA Forge World parts I am not sure if I will use them on the GK but I do have custom Dark Angel successor chapter army on which I maybe want to use those parts (I really hope FW will release more DA miniatures).

I chose to give him a halberd and stormbolter, which depending on the situation might count as either a Deamon Hammer and/or a Psilencer.

Meanwhile I did a test on the a base of one of my GK Terminator, I tried to make it look like the stone is infused with energy

Lastly I used the arms of the Legion Centurion to do a Techmarine conversion. The conversion beamer is made with one of the GK heavy weapons, the servo arm is made out of
a ork grabba stick and paper and the helmet is from the venerable dreadnought sprue.

I like what you've done with the FW model, the termie arms actually fit quite well.

Hey Guys here is a little update on the Brother Captain. I finished painting the torso, legs, head and backpack, what do you guys think of the colour scheme?





I started working on his NFW but I am not sure about the colour in combination with the colour scheme of the armor, what do you guys think?
