Hi there! I’m also trying to make the Dread Mob work.
I just like how badass they look on the table?! And still can’t believe that Mork/Gorkanaut isn’t Super Heave. Can’t stand how it’s blown up just from one shot of Melta…

From my experience, Mork/Gorkanaut can’t survive shooting even under KFF and can’t do almost any damage in this phase themselves. Therefore, I’m gonna put them in an assault ASAP.

So my kunnin’ plan is Big Mek on a bike with MFF to provide cover for the walkers at the first/second turn. As well as Warboss on a bike to call WAAAGH! to make them run and charge and Painboy on a bike too. Plus as many bikers as I can take to make one mobile and survivable unit.
Gorkanaut suits more for assault as it has Rampage so I’d take two with Extra Armour and Grot Riggers. All Kans are equipped Rokkit Launcha. Deff Dreads have 3 Power Klaw and Skorcha each.

Battle tactics: Gorkanauts and bikers advance. Kans screen them from undesirable assaults at the same time shooting with their Rokkits. Grechins run forward and scare gak out of everybody and get under foe's feet.
Deff Dreads stay in the Deployment zone and protect it from deep striking/outflanking units.

not quite sure how your playing it and thats a rokkit not a bazooka ..only grotz have a zooka ...If you can reoutfit the deffdreads I would say big shoota and skorcha on each The burna boyz and meks go inside the Gork and Mork ..to do repairs and provide a suprise exit with the gretchin camping back feild objectives..or bubble wrapping thast poor solo tractor ..hrmmn find a few points for that tractor ..so you can have a second ..

Your list is illegal. You can't use the 15 point mek. He is something you can buy one of for every big mek painboy or warboss you have, not an HQ. Also did you buy grot sllavers?

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

I was wondering where in the Codex it is stated that Mek isn't HQ.
I might be wrong but he could be taken both as a HQ and also as a selection with no Force Organisation slot according to Mekaniaks special rule.

Mekaniaks: For each HQ choice in a Detachment (not including other Meks) you may include a single Mek chosen from this datasheet. These selections do not use up Force Organisation slots.
Before the battle, immediately after determining Warlord Traits, any Mek that is not already part of another unit must, if possible, be assigned to any unit with the Infantry or Artillery type in their Detachment; a Mek cannot leave his unit and is treated as part of it for the entire battle for all rules purposes.

Unfortunatly the little mek cannot be taken as an HQ but only one per HQ in the detachment ..(ie the CAD need an HQ Choice) and thats the mistake i missed earlier

Hmm okay, then I take another Hq for the Little mek. Maybe a warboss to have the synergy with WAAAgh? But then Im not shure to give him a bike or something else?

The mekaniack special rule states you can take a mek for every hq you have. He's not an hq.

Well, my opponents usually don't have more than 1-2 Wave Serpents 'cos Serpent spam is very expensive in real life money.

I'd say more meks and big meks, Add in the Da Fixer Upperz, and shokk attk guns. I've also found kustom blastas to be good on Kans, but I face alot of 2+ armour

Also Meks are definitely HQs but cannot be purchased without another HQ

I am not sold on the morkanaut being that great. I have switched from one of each to two gorkanauts and the firepower output has been something most armies can't deal with.

Also I would drop a unit of Kans for a unit or two of Grot Tanks with Grotzookas or Rokkits. The 5+ invul. save is great plus they move faster than kans.

Otherwise I like it.

I will play a list as follows on a local tournament this weekend.

Dread Mob

Big Mek MFF on Bike PK
Painboy on Bike

3 x 3 Kans, 2 with Rokkits and 1 Squad with Grotzooka
3 Deff Dreads with big shoota and burner

Morkanaut with KFF
Gorkanaut

CAD
Warboss on Bike, PK and Finkin Cap
2 x 10 Grotz
4 Warbikers Nob with Claw
5 x lobbas

Think it could work. 2 Shield Bubbles one from Mek and a second from Morkanaut will protect the Dreads. I´ll try to use the finkin cap to scout one Bubble forward so they can do a little more pressure in early game.

When the Dreads have arrived in CC(if they arrive) the MFF Bik Mek can join the Biker Unit and start choppin. The Lobbas give a little bit of supporting fire against everything that is hiding from my dreads.
