Is it legal to bring a MFF from ghazkull supplement to my big mek from my regular codex army. Based on what i read i'm not sure

If you have both detachments, just. You cannot access the ghazgull supplement relics without taking a detachment of some form from that supplement.

You need to take a formation from the Waaagh! Ghazghkull supplement in order to take any of the relics from Waaagh! Ghazghkull.

So if i add a great waagh detachment then the big mek with MFF could join the gork? Basically need 4 troops for regular CAD and the great waagh detachment

Yes a mek using any detach met or formation of gaz can et the MFF and are battle brothers with / can join Codex orks or any other orks.

Wow that sucks... Ghaz supplement is so bad, the only thing worth trying was the Big Bosspole or the MFF. But in order to do that I must take the Great Waaagh! detachment and its gakky rules...

One thing I notice about the Great WAAAGH Detachment, which hasn't been mentioned yet, is that it's two troop and one elite mandatory. however that detachment can still take 4 more elite choices.
Not that it makes it much better.
