I'm looking to have a few speeders with Heavy Flamers being used by the gunner in place of the heavy bolter, but it seems there is none included in the Landspeeder/Storm kits. I only just found this out while building my first Storm and now I'm looking into making one and I need some advice. I think the dreadnought heavy flamer would be the best to use but I'm not really sure how I can make it look good being attached by the gunner.

I'm thinking cutting down the hose and connecting it to a tank. But as for how to mount it and have it look decent, well, I'm at a loss. Has anyone done this themselves? Is there a better option for it? I'm hoping to have a few speeders with it, so it will hopefully be easy enough to repeat successfully.

Pictures of your own speeders with the top heavy flamer would be great for additional inspiration. Thanks in advance!

The Sentinel Flamer is a good fit. The Dreadnought one is way too small.

Sorry for the crappy photos but this is how I have done it. The little piece is a bit of sprue.

That set up won't work for the Landspeeder Storm since it has the cerberus launcher on the bottom. I need to figure out how to replace the heavy bolter the gunner uses with a heavy flamer. I really wish there was one in at least one of the speeder kits, but it doesn't seem like it.

The sentinel flamer does look decent, I'm just still not sure how I can put it where I need to. I have my speeder fully assembled right now minus the crew (though not all parts are glued down so I can paint everything) and I can see that the length of the sentinel flamer would probably be better for use in battles, since less of the template would be over the speeder.

It would be easier if I had any extra heavy flamers, but all I have is a couple terminator ones and they look like they wouldn't work at all.

This is a crappy picture of my speeder (taken with my vita) but this is where i need to fit the heavy flamer.

I don't have a picture of my LSS, but the Sentinel flamer fits right where the HB would be. You just need to model some kind of clip on the bottom to grip the railing.

^ Expensive, and way more parts than you need, but think the flamer in that should work perfectly.

And from memory I think that one side of the sentinel flamer has a hole in it / no detail...?

Can you take the heavy flamer, cut off the nozzle, invert it, and add two melta bombs to each side as fuel tanks?
