Just curious who would be interested in light weight, folding gaming table? Exact 6x4. Folded in 3 steps. Stable. Any tips what you guys use?
Is there anything like this?
Would you put your $ on such think?
Thanks a lot!

Ironically I was looking this myself just earlier. The setup I was looking into was just a sheet of sanded plywood (4x8) with a section cut in the middle for two hinges on each side, and 6 inches cut off each end. and then Just staple felt on everything but a few inches on each end (For reserves, casualties, etc)

I planned on just using it over my kitchen table though. I'm sure some sort of hinge wouldn't be too hard to find though so you could make legs and make then foldable.

No, you'd probably have to make it yourself. I used plywood, sets of piano hinges and two portable metal horsesaws.

I found 6x4 gaming table which folds, sold around USD 120. It is very light -made of alu. Like 12kg. Planning to put battle mat on it. And just keep it folded under bed when not used.
What you think?

Shipping on that thing is going to be a beast.

Got something similar from Aldi sadly folding the other way. Am keeping my eye out for another.

I use 2 of these:

https://www.foldingtablesuk.com/rectangular-and-square-folding-tables/ft4-6ft-rectangular-folding-table.html

They can often be found for £30 shipped from the same company if you look on ebay.

They are really solid and good quality, once you fold them out there are two bars that slide and lock under the hinge as well a metal hoops to slide over the folding parts of the legs.

As others have said, the biggest problem will be having a competitive price including shipping. Essentially, you can make do with something from Staples, Office Depot, or Costco for the price of what the shipping will be :(

At worst, 6' x 3' banquet tables in resin or wood are really common and only about $40 USD (and some fold down the center). You then put two 4x3 or 4x4 sheets of plywood on top (drill a peg to hold it in place if you need), to give you either a 6x4 or 8x8 tabletop. If you want to be fancy, you can build a lip onto this.

Or you can just buy and you can either just put two together, and have a lip for putting models on, dice, etc.

I was going to buy a tabletennis (ping pong) table the other day and realised it was pretty much a perfect size (9x5)

Means I can rock out to a full 8x4 table with 6 inches all around for 'stuff'

$100 dollaridoos -> http://www.kmart.com.au/product/table-tennis-table/102188

Which is about USD$4

Not really transportable though, but it does fold and roll away.
