I want to make an Advent Calendar for my GF.
She's a DE 40K collector and painter. And also has a starter box of Khador and some extra troops.
And a handful of older GW paints and some hand me down brushes..

So I was thinking maybe expand her paint collection and brushes a bit.
Maybe add some useful tidbits. Like a proper knife set.
Maybe a razor saw. And some putty and sculpting tools.
Then she wants Lelith Hesperax.
Anything else missing?

I may be an donkey-cave, but at least I'm an equal oppurtunity donkey-cave...

Pin vice drill and bits?
Small files (you could space those out) and fine sand papers
An chameleon effect paint pigment that you mix with medium (red and green would theme in with DE and christmas)
Small critters/basing kit bits/trophies for the DE

Mushy:
How about some dropper bottles of colours you personally mixed for her? So long as you write down the ratios you could label them as anything.

+1 on the pinvice

How to books if she is the type that likes to learn by reading.

Maybe something Christmas-ish so you can paint some Christmas ornaments together.

See also "holiday Mouslings".

Before anyone gives me gak... No, not because she's a girl and therefore likes the fluffy things, but because they're hilarious and sweet. I own tons of these things.

I have no idea what that means. Guessing it's a no.

I mostly have the dreadful parody ones...Monteray Jack, a cowboy and a drunk. I do like that the second lot are painted up like South Park kids though.

Buy a raider, razorwing or any other big kit,
Clip from sprue and wrap into 24 smaller parcels.
Doctor the instructions to correspond to each consecutive day.
She'll have a fully built kit ready to paint/play with on Christmas day.
That'd be frustrating as hell but fun.

Edit: Maybe add sprays/paints in the correct order of painting..

Glue
Clippers
Knife
The tension mounts
First Sprues/bits
...
Last Sprues/bits
Brush
Spray
Basecoat 1
Basecoat 2
Highlight 1
Silver/gold or whatever.
Basing Materials
Canopy

So that's 16 steps minimum depending on how you split the kit.

Or something like that.

Oh good grief. Better not let the wife see those. (actually, she prefers Rohirrim. If I ever finish my Orks, I might paint her some. )

Put a search in the sidebar for "Mouseling", there's everything from trick or treaters or a hungry Easter egg thief, to Lara Croft.
They really are a silly range.

Your wife has better taste than I do.
