So I don't have much to go off of, but I am hoping someone can help me find this game/miniatures. I remember first seeing it in the early to mid 2000s. I was a primarily a dark fantasy-esque theme of Viking and Celt looking characters. From what I remember the figures remind me of this: http://red-box-games.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13

Was Warhammer so radically different in the early 2000's that it was a Viking-Celt looking game?
Godslayer? That's late 2000's, though.

No, it seemed to be little known and have about skirmish sized forces. I keep searching for it but if I type anything remotely close to fantasy dark ages then the game Dark Age comes up. Automatically Appended Next Post: Insaniak got it!
Celtos!
Thanks a bunch!

The models are still available from Brigade Games, along with PDFs of the rules.
Some nice Kev White sculpts from before his falling out with I-Kore.

I think I-kore had masterfully managed to make everybody fall out with them.
I remember they send a massive package to one of my local shops without them ordering anything from them as a "sample" and then demanding payment for it.

Know I got Celtos too from the description...
It would make a fun game if we all tried to see if we could suggest a game and see who could guess it with the fewest words.
Such as... I'm thinking of an old wargame, I know there were shoulder pads...

Definitely Chronopia. Tons of big shoulderpads in the human faction, which I always loved the models for (the humans, I mean).

Irish? Irish
Scottish (originally from Fantasy Forge, some of whom ended up working for Target Games on Warzone and then founded I-Kore and Urban Mammoth), I'll have you know.
The models are still available from Scotia Grendel.

Bing Bing bing!
We have a winner!
Kryomek it is.
This one made me chuckle. The clue for Battletech could have been "no Aliens"
Yep, and the sculpts are actually pretty good. I owned a bunch of the figures for a while but sold them on when I realized I didn't have time to own them. The rules have got some cool fluff and pics but the actual mechanics were impossible for me to get my head around.

I thought it was Scottish? Fantasy Forge (whose product it was) was Scottish, anyway. According to John Robertson it was, too (he sculpted a few of the pieces).
I've got a stack of Kryomek stuff still. Ordering some replacement striders (walkers) that were lost in the distant past somewhere, shortly, too.
