Like some many others, I picked up Imperial Knights: Renegade this weekend along with an IK codex. I plan to pick up another box and probably another Warden kit to round out the army. I held a
poll for the last week to determine the names I would give to my House (You'll find a little background fluff in that link as well). Here is the army list I came up with to use in those fun/casual games when I feel like bringing 5 super-heavies:
Exalted Court
High King Davos Janis, Vainglory's Penance (Knight Warden) - 430 pts
Warlord
Avenger Gatling Cannon w/ Heavy Flamer, Heavy Stubber, The Paragon Gauntlet, Stormspear Rocket Pod
Baroness Roxanna Vitae, Shining Dawn (Knight Errant) - 440 pts
Thermal Cannon, Reaper Chainsword, , Meltagun, Mark of the Omnissiah, Twin Icarus Autocannon
Baron Tunir Janis, Litany of Honour (Knight Paladin) - 435 pts
Rapid-fire Battle Cannon w/ Heavy Stubber, Ravager, Heavy Stubber Twin Icarus Autocannon
Sir Tomas Routh, Magi's Aegis (Knight Crusader) - 470 pts
Rapid-fire Battle Cannon w/ Heavy Stubber, Avenger Gatling Cannon w/ Heavy Flamer, Heavy Stubber, Stormspear Rocket Pod
Sir Owain Isembart, Pride's Retribution (Knight Crusader) - 470 pts
Thermal Cannon, Avenger Gattling Cannon w/ Heavy Flamer, Meltagun, Stormspear Rocket Pod
Total: 2245 pts
I find it kind of funny that the Warlord is the cheapest unit in the list. Basic strategy will be for Vainglory's Penance and Litany of Honour to spread out across the back line and hold fast, D-slapping anyone foolish enough to get close. Magi's Aegis will try to find high ground or the widest shooting lanes he can. Shining Dawn and Pride's Retribution will hold the middle of the battlefield. The only thing I really want is a spare 15 points so I can put Sanctuary on Pride's Retribution. I figure that that 6++ will come in handy in the middle of the field. Thoughts?
