Ok so last weekend I started work on my landspeeder vengance. I had been puting it off for a while as I really disliked the model and knew that I would have to do some major conversion work to get it looking the way I wanted. One of the things that bothered me about the model was the stained glass window and the shallow pulpit.

When I opened the kit I noticed that the offending stain glass section had been damaged by parts in the box rubbing together and detail and been worn off, I checked the rest of the model and it seemed fine and although I could have taken it back I decided to cut that section away and save the model as it would be a shame to see it binned due to that tiny flaw.

I started by constructing a new cockpit out of the side car of an attack bike I have left over "dislike that model too". I then started work on the drone cannon, using parts from a the tank cupolas sprue to construct the base and computer bits, the eye sensor being a rocket eye peice and the gun and light being from the raven wing upgrade sprue.

Very nice work. The front gunner always looked off to me. Much better back in the cockpit with the pilot.

While I like what you did with the assault cannon, it looks a bit high up. I might have tried for a more low-profile build.

Looking good

I've been thinking similar things, but I'll be mounting the weapon in the same way as a normal landspeeder (rail mount on the cab) and ditching the pulpit entirely.
