So, my local GW is doing a "Battalion Challenge". The challenge is to have any 4 boxes worth of items fully painted. I'm already a week behind, at least, since I chose to do Warhammer Quest. I wanted the box anyways, had saved up for it, figure I might as well participate for the nifty patch and to get motivated to do some painting, which I haven't been doing lately. I have to finish the contents by June 18th to meet the deadline.

I've built as of right now half of the Acolytes, the Ogroid, the Tenebrae Shard, the Brimstone Horrors, the Darkaoth Chieftain, the Tzaangors, and the Familiars.

Started putting brush to model last night around 10pm, before I knew...it was 1am and I had this much done on the Darkoath Chieftain:

Not sure how I want to base everything. I'm thinking simple, and I'm thinking different bases for each faction/Realm they hail from:
Darkoath might get a plains look, Shard and Mistweaver might get a swamp-y look, the Daemons might get a blasted plains look, the Fyreslayer will get a magma look, the Stormcast will get the same kind of plains look as the Darkoath, Excelsior+Warpriest will get the plains look as well, and Arcanites might get the blasted plains look to match the Daemons they summoned.
