Hi there.

I wanted to get some feedback on my Salamanders Space Marine. I had to use exactly this snapfit miniature due to having been painted in a contest. Made 3rd place with it. (made 2nd place with another mini)

Sorry, you want real feedback the armor is absolutely stunning, from the beyond vibrant green and OSL, to the subtle gold trim and seamless insignia.. My only criticism is on the gun; while the technique is perfect, I think the reflective look works against it. It looks almost like it's made of glass, whereas I think making it look more gun-metal would add weight and thus realism to the model. This however, is entirely my opinion.

Very nice job.

The only thing I noticed was the highlight on his left shoulder pad. The highlighting of the icon doesn't fit with the reflection of the light on the black. They are both done really well separately, but it looks as though the icon is blocking the light in the place it would be most reflecting it.

Again though, great work that you have done.

Very nice, I think you could go a stage further with the green by adding a final extreme reflex highlight. And maybe a very subtle red glaze into the deepest shadows.

Not sure about the double spot light source, looks a bit odd viewed from the side. Other than that, looks awesome!

However I don't understand the light source you were using; on some parts of the miniature, you have bright highlights in regions that should be dark, and a few regions should be bright instead of dark.

Weird lighting angles aside, the technique is excellent. The mini is a bit bright for my liking (never much cared for Salamanders).
