Just finished my first ever BIG model that's above a Dreadnought in size, and I was wondering how would I go about adding some details on this to make it look like it's been through many different conflicts, as well as any advice on how to add some finishing touches to it? I'm not super experienced with painting and most of the paints I've been using are FolkArt acrylics.

Really wondering on how to do this, as I have some Imperial Knights I'll be looking to paint soon that I would like to look like they've been through ages of warfare, as well as pointers on how to do better so that they don't look too awful.
