In the midst of converting the last of my Blood Angels over to Black Templars. I'm looking at ways to convert my Furioso dread into a standard one, possibly an Ironclad.

I figure I can file down all the Blood Angels markings on the front plate, and fill in the sarcophagus markings with green stuff, or carefully try to cut it all out and glue a BT emblem in there somewhere. I also found standard dread arms all over ebay, generally for not that much.

If any of you have done this sort of conversion before, can you point me in the right direction? I have a good idea as to where this is going to take me, and I know its going to take some doing, but I'd rather take the time to convert what I have, rather than go buy another.

Thank you all in advance

I specifically bought a furioso kit for my ironclad and just cut off the BA symbols.

Did the force halberd as the chainfist and the claw as a powerfist. He looks awesome with his furioso librarian tomb head thing.

Rules? There are no rules!

hey what time is it?

The issue is that I have no idea where the other parts went. What's in the pic is all I can find

Maybe you can trade it? Find someone building a blood angels army who has a standard dred and work something out.

So here's what I've got so far, I basically filed and sanded off the front plate of the Furioso, and I'm in the midst of getting it true enough where I can glue on the face plate from the Black Templar upgrade set.

Now I have to decide how I want to run it. I'm trying to decide between a Venerable and a Ironclad. An Ironclad would be easier, and probably fit the melee build I had in mind.

What do you all suggest for a BT army for a dread; Standard, Venerable, or Ironclad?

considering the amount of work you need to put in, I would just buy another dreadnought. Or like SQRT was saying try to trade.

I don't mind the extra work to be honest. I would trade, but the model does have some sentimental value to me so I'd like to keep it and just repurpose it for how I would need it.
