From Oathsworn:
The plan is to launch on Friday; but there's a lot I have to do first, so it may be a day or two later. We're hoping to fund production moulds for an Owlbear, a set of 5 NPC models, and another 8 Heroines.
I've got most of the sculpting done, and I should get the last few models done over the next week.
Anyway, if you're interested, we'd love to have your support again; we really want to grow this miniatures range! Below you can see pics of the Human Ranger Heroine, and an evil NPC Necromancer...

Glad to see this start up again! I missed the first one and regretted it somewhat, so I am going to be grinding my credit cards in preparation.

Very cool! Will definitely be watching this, I've been so impressed by the fulfillment of each campaign from this company. And they're Dakkanauts, to boot!

Thanks for posting this, Fugazi!

I'll add piccies of the minis as soon as I get them done...

The ranger looks great! That was my only hesitation on the first campaign, some of the heroes were almost too low level for me. This is a nice balance . Also really looking forward to the Owlbear!

I got the half-orc from the previous one, gorgeous model, I am quite interested into the new one. Also, I think that lovely model is pretty likely to be part of it:

and that very subtle and delicate lady:

Never too late.

Lovejoy's Q&A from the Reaper forum:
Godfather Punk, on 24 Jun 2016 - 04:22 AM, said:

Is this KS going to be in £ or in €? And will there still be EU friendly shipping?

LJ: We're friendly to everyone! ::

dwarvenranger, on 24 Jun 2016 - 06:49 AM, said:

Wonder if the Brexit vote is gonna affect this?

LJ: I don't think it'll make any difference to this project... in the long term, no-one knows! ^_^

Godfather Punk, on 24 Jun 2016 - 07:31 AM, said:

Oathsworn are very quick to produce & deliver so I bet we will get our sensibly shod ladies before the the borders close.

Only thing I wonder that if they may adjust prices. Is it good or bad for Oathsworn export if the £ tanks?

LJ: I think our prices will stay the same, but it'll work out cheaper for non-uk backers.

Jasper_the_2nd, on 24 Jun 2016 - 08:01 AM, said:

Depends on where their metal comes from, I'd expect.

Sculpting and casting is all done locally, so should be unaffected and sales will likely go up as the pound slides against foreign currency. but if their casting metal comes form outside the UK then it could get much more expensive to actually cast the figures....

LJ: Pete gets the alloy from 5nplus, and they source their raw metals all over the world. It's more the world price of tin that affects things.

LJ: On the subject of KS launching, we're waiting for Kickstarter to approve the project. It's supposed to take up to 48 hours, but it's been 72 so far, and we've heard nothing yet... fingers crossed we'll get the go-ahead some time today.

Thanks Fugazi!

Just a quick post to say that I don't know when we'll actually be launching this project... it might be sometime next week at this rate. We're waiting on Kickstarter approving the project, and they are being a bit slow. And in two hours, they apparently close for the weekend, so we might not hear from them until Monday.

Oh well, more time to sculpt I guess!

Well, Kickstarter has finally approved our Sensible Shoes 2 project, so we can launch anytime. But we've got Family Stuff to do until tomorrow afternoon, so we'll finally be launching 2pm BST tomorrow. Barring lightning strikes, asteroids and dragon attacks, obviously.

In the meantime, here's part of a blurry pic of a half-orc.

cheers,
Michael

Moar half-orc. The half-orc was the best model of the previous Kickstarter!

(Also, question: will it be possible to add miniatures from the first KS at retail price along with those from the second one to save on shipping?)

Yes, that's a good idea - I'll mention it on the project page as soon as I get the chance...

Here's some piccies:

I love the rogue! I love the paladin! I love the monk!
Where is the DOUBLE TROUBLE pledge level with all mini from the first AND second kickstarter ?
Are the current NPC all men? Why?

Cheers! He's definitely got a bit more 'big cat' than 'bear' going on, but I just like it that way...

Fugazi wrote:That owlbear pose is great.
Thank you! I want to do another similar one now, and have a hunting pair.

Sinful Hero wrote:All In for me. I loved the miniatures I received from the first Sensible Shoes.
Much appreciated! It's always good when people come back for more - means we must be doing something right!

We've added the option to get the first set of ladies as well now... lots of people were asking! £4 each, or £35 for the 12...
The current NPCs are all men, because A. I had the sculpts sat around doing nothing, and B. I've got a D&D campaign I need them for...
The one I'm working on now is female though!

Thank you!

I got the Half-orc Cleric finished today.., I'm thinking she might just be in my next Frostgrave warband...

I do like making half-orcs... I might try and do a full tribe of them!

I got the Noblewoman NPC finished today...

...and I finished the step-by-step sculpting guide for the Paladin too: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oathsworn/sensible-shoes-2-female-gaming-miniatures/posts/1618217

Tomorrow I need to start on the Tiefling...

I ordered the Heroine pledge + every model from Sensible1, but I wonder if I can still pay only the 4£ shipping cost (to France) when the All-In with less miniatures is at 6£ shipping. I need to know! For reasons!

Yes, just pay the £4 shipping - the All-In costs more because of the owlbear, which weighs as much as 5 or 6 figures.... besides, if it ends up costing more to ship, we'll cover it; we always lose a bit on shipping anyway, so we're used to it!

I'm pretty sure it'll all get to the webstore - and we'll have a Paypal link for a couple of months as well, if you want to join in later...

Today I finished the Tiefling Warlock - she's a half-devil, which explains the horns and tail...

cheers,
Michael
