Depends on the rest of your army really - picking units as a hodge-podge of choices will always make things harder than having a plan.
That said, Mutilators are probably way way down the list of suggestions - they're nasty in theory, but lack suitable delivery systems without an expensive Land Raider.
Obliterators are decent, if expensive. Chaos Termies are far more flexible than their loyalist brethren, but suffer from similar problems (the number of AP2 shooting currently in the game). Taking termies doesn't force you to put your lord in termi armour - often that can just be too many eggs in one basket.

Also you should use one topic for all the help you need and just post there instead of making multiple new topics. To help keep the forum clean.

Always go for obliterators they are actually good.
Mutilators do have very passionate supporters on this site but are generally considered as the lesser option ( shooting is just better in this edition)
Termies are kinda meh since they don't have a good invul save and are over costed compared to their loyalist counterparts.
Lord on bike > Termi lord > lord in power armour

I keenly enjoy CC, but you really gotta get stuff INTO CC to make any use of any of it.

If you hover your mouse cursor over them it will pull up the full wording.

Nope. that would be a waste of your lord. The oblitterators are stand alone heavy weapon platforms.
Choas lords are bad at ranged stuff. They need to be a beast in close combat, be really cheap or give buffs to the rest of your army.
Powerarmour lords on foot are only to be used as the cheap option.

You might want to read this , and then continue by watching a lot of CSM battle reports on youtube to see how things actually preform on the table

Insect-Infested Nurgle Chaos Lord

Chaos Lords with the Mark of Khorne also has access to the Juggernaut, essentially turning him into a more killy (but less survivable) version of the Wolf Lord on Thunderwolves. The only drawback to this is that the Khorne Lord doesn't have a unit of equally-killy cavalry to follow him around.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |
