"Terminus Est" ("This is the End"), the new addition to my Word Bearers army. As in the subject, I used rare earth magnets in the arms and under the carapace. 4 months of work.

Well painted.

Though I wonder how Father Nurgle will feel that the name of Typhus his flagship (Terminus Est) is used in a Word Bearers army.

Gotta agree with horizon, it's your mini, but that's a really famous name.

But of course, how best exemplify that Undivided Chaos rules than appropriating back a nice name?
And then, the name was from:
"This is the End,
My Only Friend
The End"...

BTW the guilty is the Dark Mechanicum pilot...

For a Dark Mechanicus war machine, he looks pretty un-chaotic.

Still, the colour scheme is nice and well put together

Then why not call him "Morrison Est"...just saying.

Nice paint job, btw.

I should have said it earlier but beautiful paint job. I love that you have something Chaos that doesn't look like a giant metal kinky BDSM Dominatrix. Pretty refreshing.

Agree, the name is already famous in 40k lore, you'll always have people mentioning that to you, and frankly, it's true - surely you come up with something on your own without ripping off the Death Guard.

Nice paint job.

Yep, looks good. Excellent brush-work.

I've always preferred understated Chaos stuff. My ideal Chaos style is very much like...say...zombies in certain movies?

Setting the scene...imagine an Imperial Guard outpost on a desolate planet. The planet is under siege by Chaos etc., but this outpost is far from the front lines. Reports indicated a Titan Legion is operating nearby. A lone sentry is sitting in his tower when he feels a thump.

He recognizes immediately what it must be: battle. He gets up, scans the horizon with his binos and sees the silhouette of a titan in the distance. He thinks nothing of it - imagining a friendly titan must be operating in the area.

As it closes within 2-3 kilometers he starts to notice it's belching smoke a bit too much...and it's awfully rusty. As it closes he realizes he's made a terrible mistake. There are painted icons on it, and a grimacing faceplate...etc.

Very much the zombie movie approach...when the main character doesn't realize someone is a zombie until it's too close/too late etc. I've never like the over the top, 12-year old "SKULLS AND BLOOD!" style ham fisted approach.

It's so over the top that it's not scary or spooky...just silly. I like the quiet, understated, spooky unknown. Personal preference!

TLR: Awesome job.

I could never own a model like this without magnetizing it either!

I agree with Chaos-ization being often completely overdone, but in this case I think a little more wouldn't have hurt. Otherwise for the paintjob, solid work.
