I nearly finished my Badab War army, a renegade coalition between the Lamentes, the Mantis Warriors and the ominous Astral claws. I want to show it and receive your impressions. Thanks all.

Amazing work! That yellow on the Lamenters looks very clean and very bright. They'll look like a treat on the battlefield

Thank you, General Annoyance.
The yellow is painfull color to paint, but futhermore the shoulder pads of the lamenters are very hard to do. Recently I erased the paint of some of them and I´m trying the chess heraldry again.
I am very proud of this little army, I played a few battles against Red Scorpions and Eldar and some of the characters are now a legend. The Mantis Warriors Captain was a former sergeant promoted when he was the only one survivor in a confrontation versus the Red Scorpions. Santacroze won a duel versus a Apotecary-sergeant and later he shot down a Land Speeder.
The Terminators are from the Space Hulk game, very detailed and amazing miniatures. It´s always a pleasure play with them in the battlefield.

I feel ya about yellow - that is super annoying to get right. But hey you did it right from what I can see, and from the one Marine I can see in the Command Squad, the heraldry you left looks good too.
Sounds like you had some fun games with them; it must be a pleasure for your opponent to view the army too when you play. Until they get crushed that is
Yes I noticed the Terminators too from their bases - do you have any other models that are going in this collection?

Nice work! The yellow is looking fantastic. I always find yellow hard to paint right, I think you've pulled it of pretty well.
Good job

Thanks SixT4Pixels
At the moment, this army is complete, I need time to work in my 30k Night Lords and Iron Hands. For now, I have the ephimeral sensation of army completed. But I believe that the Lamenters will need some heavy support in the future, maybe a Stormraven or a Predator.
Sometimes, when I buy a new unit is hard to choose wich of my 5 space marines armies will recieve it.

When I did my Lamenters army, the best method I came up with for the shoulder pads was to fill the whole shoulder pad in white, then trace out the checkerboard with a mechanical pencil. It gave me the best results the easiest for a smooth checker pattern. Your skills seem to be above my level though.
Great looking army though, cheers.

General Annoyance (great avatar name...) summed me up as well. Great yellow work, hard to do and you did it justice. Part of what I love here is the complete package nature. A formation of battle brothers together looks impressive! I've said it before and always will, there is no words for the thrill of having an army painted up and on the table for people to see, and this one is very well done.
