Trying to not to give too much away about the start of next years plan at this point we are busy working on new books and plastics for a sandy warzone but given the scope of going back to a period for the first time in eight years we have a very large pile of things to make and with over twenty plastic codes being worked on time is what was needed to do all this work. Comprehensive plans and plastics take time but as you will see in a few months time when we start sharing the detailed plans the scope of the work you will see we have not been idle and FOW will be getting no end of love whilst we continue to add a further three new forces to TY and it will all out in 2017.

Revision for Africa? It'll be interesting to see what they release plastic kit wise. Hopefully it's stuff that can also be used lend lease for Soviets.
TY World Police continues to leave me cold.

One line there stands out for me: "...with the new compilations and plastics in September..."
Hmm... GF9's Tanks uses the FoW plastics. Tanks ends its first OPS season in October. Possibility there'll be a joint FoW/Tanks release in September to prepare for OPS Season 2?

The compilations mentioned are the Bulge compilations for Flames of War.

So British, as expected, will be next for Team Yankee.

So, my reading of JP's statement is that there are three new TY armies in 2017, which does not include the British as they are a 2016 army. Am I reading that right?
Now, he does say "forces" which could be more limited I suppose, but one would imagine that some WarPac nations would get...some sort of representation rules-wise. I could also see US and Soviet expansion to allow for the recon-like list that the Germans have with "older" equipment which would dovetail with that. So that'd be a US boost and a Soviet/WarPac expansion for two forces. The third one I'd guess on is the French as Leopard shows the silhouettes of AMX 30s and they'd be a logical inclusion for Europe.
If they don't expand the US, I could also see WarPac, France and then China. While they wouldn't have been involved in the European conflict, Phil in interviews has shown a clear interest in expanding the battlegrounds of TY. China has a variety of military hardware and while superficially similar to Soviet kit for guessable reasons it could be a nice addition as well. Not sure they want to leave Europe just yet there.
Any other thoughts on possible forces? One would imagine that given how they sell TY, they would need to be a major tank-producing nation (or at least aligned with one) and that immediately cuts the list down considerably. The only tank-producer that springs to mind that hasn't been mentioned is Israel, though my knowledge there isn't exhaustive. While the Middle East would be a quite reasonable battleground for WW3 and more easily transplant European forces, I do think China is an interesting prospect with the way in the political climate of the time they could have fought on either side or their own.

I could see them focusing for Team Yankee on smaller nations that use other nations equipment. Thinking East Germany, Poland, Canada, also France seems like a logical choice as well if they want to produce more plastic kits.

Quite a few NATO nations used the Leopard. Poles appear in the novel. And some sort of Spearhead unit is glaringly absent from the US line-up.

Nothing yet. The first definitive news will probably be on a "non-affiliated" site, like the previews that we've seen on sites like Breakthrough Assault.

Hopefully. It has lend lease potential so I may pick some up.
Someone hinted at Pumas and there's "twenty plastic codes" of desert kit incoming next year. That sounds like twenty codes will make more than twenty vehicle types to me.
Here's hoping for a plastic Valentine (II + III + VIII multi-kit) and M3A1 White scout car next year.

On the latest WWPD podcast, Wayne mentioned that the US arty min/max list that has and is been/being used will be somewhat curtailed. Trained troops will only be allowed to have trained arty and vet troops, vet arty.
Patton will lose his spearhead rule, therefore his cost reduces to 75 pts.
Additionally, there will be a plastic sprue released that has the 4 sdkfz 234 variants on it, so plastic pumas for everyone. As well, finally the M10 plastic sprue will be released, with 3 variants, M10, M10C and M36 Jackson.
