I dont know if the question belongs here, but I recently got a stormhawk interceptor because I like the model.
None of my armies can officaly use it though (DAngels, BAngels, AdMech, Guard).

Since I have to ally that thing in anyways I probably will get a second interceptor and just take them as air superiority formation (using vanilla space marine rules).

Now my question is: Could I explain fluffwise if I painted them up for my AdMech? It is an astartes flyer, but AdMech are the ones building those things. Do you think it fits the fluff if my martians come in flying those things?

If you can find a formation that you and your opponent are happy with, go for it!

Fluff-wise: no. The AdMech neither use the Stormhawk or build them - they're built in chapter forges by tech-marines.

Rules-wise there is a fitting formation right in DftS. But if it doesnt fit the fluff, I think Im gonna add them to my BAngels. I can still just ally them in, no matter how they look.

I just hope AdMech get their own flyer sometime....

Do you have a source for Tech-Marines building those things without the support and blessing of the admech outside the holy forges of the cult of mars ? This smells like nonsense or Herecy to me.
Also Admech has all sorts of flyers in the fluff. So even if those marines turn out to be Hereteks you could just convert them to look like cool Admech stuff and you are fine for the fluff.

Rules wise: you can add them to any army with the flyer wing formation in the new flyer book. Its just as easy as getting a minimum of 2 and you are done.

It's mentioned in several editions of the Marine Codex, and this quote if from Index Astartes: Techmarines -

Within their Chapter, Techmarines are arcane engineers, maintaining and ministering to the needs of the Chapter’s arms, armour and vehicles. Each Chapter has its own weapon shops, foundries and artisans. .... This practice varies from Chapter to Chapter, but few Space Marine Chapters have the facilities to build their own spacecraft, most being constructed in the shipyards of Jupiter and Mars.

Also, Techmarines are trained on Mars and are blessed members of the Cult.

Yes, Skitarii use Valkyries, Vendettas, Vultures & Sky-Talons.

" few Space Marine Chapters have the facilities to build their own spacecraft, most being constructed in the shipyards of Jupiter and Mars. "

This sentence dosn't say they're build by space marines. It says that *some* chapters may build them theirselfes, but "most being constructed on Jupiter and Mars" clearly means AdMech.

As far as I know only members of the AdMech are even allowed on mars, but i could be wrong about that.

Also, did the codex astartes not say something about space crafts being made by marines? Or am I confusing that with Battlefleet Gothic?

You could alwasy doo a cool marspunk conversion, e.g. a bi-plane and just give it Iron Hands traits since it can be taken on it's own in a flyer wing. No-one would even notice.

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement.

Techmarines are members of the AdMech. The next sentence after that line is "A notable exception to this are the Ultramarines, who maintain extensive construction yards in orbit around Calth, one of the planets within their realm of Ultramar", so some Chapters can build spaceships.

It's possible that smaller / less technical Chapters rely on forgeworlds for supplies but a Chapter should be self-sufficient.

Tech marines are SM who have undergone a long and excessive training by the cult of mars into some of their holy rituals so that they trust them to be just good enough mechanics to do some minor repairs.. Admech does not trust them enough to give them the secret of producing actual machines themselves or insight on the science of how their machines really work. But they do make sure that they are loyal to mars first. The cults power comes from making those who they trade with totally dependant on them. This has been the tradition since GW stole the tech cult from Asimov. Those chapters who deviate from this are the exception and are to be considered hereteks. The cult just can't tolerate machines to be operated, repaired or made outside their control. There are numerous examples of machinery suddenly being deprived of power by loyal operators and thus shutting down when the warlords actions threaten the goals of the cult.

The Horus Herecy novel Mechanicum even has a large portion of the book dedicated on the theme that bolt shells, power armour and all other war machines are being made in the foundries Mars or other Admech forge worlds. . Admech also has more space ships, flyers and skimmers then just those available in the IG codex. They use all sorts of exotic crafts novels I see no reason why the stormhawk model can't represent one of those on the board.

Mostly because they have no idea themselves.

One contentious point is that the Blood Angels have the pattern for the Baal Predator, and won't hand it over to the cult. The Cult see this as treachery on an immense scale, so why are they still providing them with all the other stuff they need? GW fluff is notorious for not really matching up when it comes to exactly how the different factions feel about things, nor who does what and how trained people are.
