This is Dakkadakka, a discussion forum. While we make in-character jokes, and have a (usually) casual attitude, the purpose of this forum is not gakposting.

Generally, we come here to chat about wargaming and to ask/answer questions and promote the hobby.

Ah,I see. Makes sense. I've been trying to get back into Warhammer40k after a nearly 10 year hiatus and I'm afraid I've gotten rather obsessed with the Ork Kulture... again.
Not kidding you, last time I had Ork everything! Masks, clothing made from piecemeal leather and hides with various bits of scrap metal, car tires, etc... (model) guns, real swords, axes, hammers, a katar.
Ever actually drank fungus (Mushroom) beer? It's gross and a pain in the ass to brew, but I used to gag it down while playing just because I'm often obsessed with the Orkz.
In fact, I think the thing that made me decide to quite playing was when I started taking the sort of attitude the Orkz have... Smash the weak, Crush that which requires too much thought, and smack the snot out of anyone who gets too arrogant for their own good.

Maybe I ought to take a bit more time to get back into this, eh?

No man, your enthusiasm is great, and the occasional orky line or reference is generally welcome. Just if you write every single reply ever for your time here, I can assure you it will wear thin mighty quick.

Since I'm as lazy as an Ork (THANKS ALOT VIDEO GAMES THAT I CAN PLAY BY MYSELF!) I cannot be bothered to find the button to specifically reply to individuals. So I'll just do this:

SELYM: I've been poking at the wiki for months now. Combine that with a job, a fiancee (No really, I have one... and she hates Warhammer! A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH!), charity on Sundays (Secular Sunday Soupkitchen!), and occasional melee combat training and recreational battle with a few buds and my time is limited.
I remember the Orkz, the Necros, The Eldar, the various chapters of Space Marines, the Tyranids... and one more hanging at the edge of my memory... some faction that war some sort of combo... I might be forgetting a few. How many more did they add?! I used to have (Sadly... sold 'em) a pretty decent set of all of 'em (Just because F*** YOU donkey-cave WITH YOUR OVERPOWERED SPACE MARINES, YOU WANNA PLAY THAT GAME? FINE! I'LL USE MY SPACE MARINES, AND THER'YE ALL TOP TIER! RAGE, HATE!) buthad probably 3x the Orkz as anything else.
Hell, I've only bought 3 figures so far... still in the package and unpainted because, again, lazy as an Ork. An Ork, a Gretchin and a Snotling. Because representation!

MANSANDWICH: Orkz were cringey, yes. But fun! I'd love to start an "WAAAGH! Weekend" where the participants all play Warhammer, get piss drunk, then beat the everloving mother out of each other with makeshift weapons while wearing homemade armor. Like my Belegarth group, but with Warhammer and only slightly more alchohol.

Maybe I've calmed down but am hyped for nostalgia, maybe I'll never calm down because old habits and all... but I just want to play again! I just hope I can handle losing a bit better this time! Got to the point where I made damn sure I NEVER lost! My tactics researched for hours in mock battles against myself. Each unit's capabilities explored against every other unit from every other faction in as many situations as I could think of. Studying historical battles and commanders... I jut couldn't accept being defeated by worthless heretics and unthinking zealots, any dumarse grot what tink he bigga den me, or any unworthy pile of flesh that has not yet become one with the Tyranid!

Also, sorry for the delay... The current batch of Fungus Beer (Beer, whiskey, green food coloring, worchestershire sauce, mushroom powder [My mortar and pestle ain't gonna justify itself!] and just a touch of ghost chili because F*** YOU, IMA ORK, DAT'S WHY!) might have fermented a bit too much. Passed out while typing that first response! Now I'm gonna have other snotty grotz to reply to, aint I?

I knew I forgot something there! TAKIN' DA STOOPID GITZ BESTEST S***Z!

I iz so dum! Not muh falt, doh.. Warboss stomp'd muh brainbone, noaw I haz a hard tiym with da cognutiv thunk!

Which is to say I suffered an unfortunate accident involving an idiot with a pick but no gloves and sweaty palms, gravity, my skull, and some horrendously protruding brainmatter. Not a problem, though, as I was still conscious (though they DID have to stop me from trying to poke the protruding materials back in with my fingers so I could tape it up and go back to work.... yeah, apparently I didn't think it was that bad, despite the fact that my skull was open and my brain was swelling out of it. But hey, I identify as an Ork, so pain means little to me (especially while drunk!)

So I hope you can forgive some of the weirdness I'm sure to exhibit from time to time, especially in hotter weather when the pins in my skull expand and stuff starts getting.... religious.

Ah well, I can write it in! Anybody got a a word that rhymes with Dakka? I got plenty that rhyme with lootz (like dem bootz! An' shootz! I don't know if an Ork would use the word Cahootz, but I intend to find out!)

Again, any input, new lines, suggestions, or even particularly colorful insults would be welcome!

There's a swear filter, so you can curse and it'll switch it to something family friendly, as long as you don't get too creative and outwit it.

Cursing is not allowed since the site is kiddy friendly; however the system in place should auto filter any bad language you write to a friendlier replacement, so you say things like feth instead of... well you know.

It's fine in that format, however trying to circumvent the system by using astricies in between words, but still making them legible as swear words, will be punished by Moderators.

I just realized my error. This isn't a war chant. It's a bit of Muzik! Dat good old rock'n'roll! I did kinda figure there would be drums accompanying it, and now I'm thinking I'd also include some Metallica style guitar riffs into it. Blare it through loudspeakers on your red warbuggy (cuz red 'uns go fasta!) during the WAAAGH!
